CATSKILL—Florence Acker, 79, of Catskill, died suddenly Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at her residence.
Born Sept 4, 1921, in Albany, she was the daughter of Willard Bink and Grace (Bennett) Bink.
Mrs. Acker lived in Catskill for 15 years and was previously from Albany.
Survivors included a daughter, Beverly McClintock of New Lebanon; two grandsons, David McClintock of Schodack and Brian McClintock of Rensselaer; a granddaughter, Roxann King of Canaan; two sisters, Emma Irwin of Catskill and Georgianna Warner of Talladega, Ala; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Acker was predeceased by her husband, Milton Acker, two brothers, Willard Bink and James Bink; and a sister, Grace Winters.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Millspaugh Camerato funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the Albany Rural cemetery in Colonie.

Born in Italy
CAIRO—William V. Amato, 76, of Route 32, Cairo, died suddenly Wednesday evening, May 30, 2001, at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson.
He was born Feb. 11, 1925, in San Giacomo, Italy, the son of the late Angelo Amato and Maria Amato.
Mr. Amato served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was employee of Peckham Materials in Athens prior to his retirement. He later became and employee of Green Manor Health Care Complex in Ghent, where he earned the nickname “Grandpa.”
Mr. Amato was predeceased by his wife, Ann R. Amato, in 1990, and a sister, Angelina DeGrottole.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie A. Amato of Cairo and Bernadette Tesoriero of Bayside, Queens: a brother, Rocco Amato of Queens: two sisters, Lena Smith and Anna May Amato, both of Queens: and two grandsons, Angelo Amato of Cairo and Anthony Tesoriero of Bayside.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Traver & McCurry funeral Home, 234 Jefferson Heights, Catskill.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home,
Pastor John J. Murphy of St. Patrick’s church of Catskill will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Catskill.

LANSINGBURGH—John P. Walther Sr., 85, a longtime resident of Catskill, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in Lansingburgh, Rensselaer County.
Born May 11, 1916, in Chicago, he was the son of Ludwig Walther and Haddie Walther.
Mr. Walther owned John P. Walther Inc. Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service from the 1950’s into the 1970s and, from the 1970s into the 1980s, Walther’s Exotic House Plants of Summit Hill.
He also was a carpenter, artist, musician, inventor, baker, and sculptor of “Living Art Creations.”
In the 1970s he designed and built the Summit Hill Athletic Club’s pool room waterfall, which is still in use today.
Survivors include seven children, Joann Walther of Cairo, John P. Walther Jr. of Virginia, Ellen Wertheim of New York City, Marti Ricci of Buffalo, Todd Wertheim of Israel, Jeannine Walther of Stillwater and Jessica Walther of Catskill; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Walther of Colorado.
Mr. Walther donated his remains to Albany Medical College.

DURHAM—Leo E. LeRoux, 76, of East Durham, formerly of Huntington, died suddenly June 1, 2001 at the Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center in Albany.
Born July 14, 1925, in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late George LeRoux and Helen LeRoux.
Mr. LeRoux served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed at Grumman Aerospace until his retirement in 1986.
He was a loving and caring, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years. Grace (Muller) LeRoux; two children, Claudia Berntsen of Greenville and James LeRoux of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Lisa Cattell, Denise and Leo Lazarus, Kerry and Jerry Berntsen, Allison Bilzerian, and Sloane LeRoux as well as five grand-children.
Funeral services will take place 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 4 at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church of Greenville.
Calling hours took place from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Greenville Cemetery immediately following the Funeral mass.

CATSKILL—Maude Edwards, 91, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at Columbia-Greene Long Term Care in Catskill where she had resided since June 7, 1994.
Born Dec. 20, 1909 in Quarryville, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John and Cornelia (Clement) Craft.
Survivors included a son, Frederick Edwards, Jr., of Palenville; a daughter, Eleanor McDowell of Albany; a son, Harold Edwards of Kiskatom; a daughter, Marilyn Pavlovich of Saugerties; a son Marvin Edwards of Durham, N.C.; a son Douglas Edwards of Kiskatom; a brother, Conrad Craft of Centerville; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Edwards was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Edwards Sr., with whom she operated their tavern for Palenville for many years until his death on Oct. 6, 1988, and a brother Roland Craft.
Private cremation was conducted on Tuesday at the Albany Rural Crematorium under the direction of the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at the Katsbaan Cemetery at the
convenience of the family.

COXSACKIE – Lottie A. Slenzo 79, of Marshallberg, N.C., died Monday, June 4, 2001 in North Carolina.
Born Jan 31, 1922, in Marshallberg, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Evertt and Nena Fulcher.
She was a 14 year resident of Marshallberg, N.C., moving from Coxsackie where she resided for 40 years. She was a seamstress at Adamo’s Dress Factory in Coxsackie, attended the United Methodist Church of Coxsackie, and was a member of the Coxsackie Seniors.
Survivors include her husband, John Slenzo of Marshallberg, N.C.; a son, John Slenzo of Coxsackie; and a sister, Mytle Davis, Beaufort, N.C.
The service was held privately at the conveniences of the family.

HUNTER—Robert J. Teetsel, 69, of Tannersville, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at the Kingston City Hospital in Kingston.
Born March 14, 1932, in Tannersville, he was the son of Charles Teetsel and Florence Powell Teetsel.
He was a retired foreman of the Greene County Highway Department.
Mr. Teetsel was a former mayor of Tannersville and village trustee for 12 years. He also was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of the Tannersville United Methodist church, Tannersville Fire Co., Greene County Republican Club, American Legion Bunt-Brewer Post No 165 and the VFW.
Survivors include his son, Philip Teetsel of New Jersey; tow daughters, Jane Giordano of New Jersey and Faith Amond of Rotterdam; seven grandchildren, Douglas and Laura Teetsel, Brianna, Mary Ann and Jacob Teetsel, Scott Roberts and Adam Amond; three brothers, Raymond Teetsel, Charles Teetsel of Ohio and James Teetsel of Texas; three sisters, Virginia Bannon, Mary Gilbert and Carol Knoth.
Mr. Teetsel was predeceased his wife, Elaine Osborn Teetsel, on Oct 22, 1990, and by a brother Richard Teetsel.

CATSKILL—Louise M. Leone, 95, a lifelong resident of Catskill, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Eden Park Nursing Home in Catskill.
Miss Leone was born Aug 1, 1905 the daughter of the Late Nicholas Leone and Effie (Corrado) Leone.
She was an employee with the New York State Board of Pharmacy for 18 years and with the Department of Education fro 24 years until her retirements in 1970.
Miss Leone was a communicant at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Catskill and a member of St. Patrick’s Rosary-Altar Society.
Survivors include tow nephews, Stephen D. Leone and William A. Leone, both of Catskill; five great-nephews and great nieces, Darrell S. Leone of Oxford, Mich., William a. Leone of Albany, Jeanie L. Wiley of Coxsackie, Lisa M Beers of Catskill and James Leone of Albany; and many cousins.

COXSACKIE—Norbert Francis Xavier Bagley, 73, of Coxsackie, died Thursday, June 7, 2001 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson.
Born Feb. 3, 1928, in Catskill, he was the son of the late Stanley and Dorothy Callahan Bagley.
He served in the Army during World War II, and earned the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal Japan. He enlisted on March 18, 1946 at Hudson, and was discharged on Aug 24, 1947 at F. Lawton, W.Va, having attained the rank of T/4.
Mr. Bagley was a retried maintenance engineer for the NYS Bridge Authority’s Rip Van Winkle Bridge, where he worked for 24 years.
He was a member of the Honeyford Memorial Post 110 American Legion.
Calling hours were Friday at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. The Rev. John J. Murphy, Pastor St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, will officiate.

CATSKILL—Camille Ewald, 96, of Hidden Drive, Catskill, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born March 10, 1905, in Staromishchana, Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Hnat and Anastasia Pershyn Ewaschuk.
Ms. Ewald immigrated with her family to northern Canada at the age of 5. She lived on the family farm with her nine brothers and sisters. As a young adult, she moved to New York City and spent many years working there and sending money home to her family.
Ms. Ewald moved to Catskill in 1961 and together with Cus D’ Amato, she helped to mold the boys D’Amato was training for the boxing ring. Many of the boys she cared for were homeless. Some had family problems and others were interested in learning to box.
Survivors include two sisters, Nellie Stefaniw of Athens and Stephanie Bradley of Kelowna, British Columbia; a sister-in-law, Myma Ewaschuk of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Friday at Traver and McCurry Funeral Home, 234 Jefferson Heights, Catskill. The Rev. Woldodymyr Paszko officiated.
Interment was at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Catskill.

LEEDS—Joseph Loughrey, 77, a longtime resident of Leeds area, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson.
Born May 6, 1924, in Callure, County Clare, Ireland he was the son of the late John and Susan Harte Loughrey.
Mr. Loughrey was a forklift operator prior to his retirement.
He was a communicant and St. Bridget’s Church in Leeds.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Traver & McCurry Funeral home, 234 Jefferson Heights, Catskill.
Services will be conducted 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bridget’s Church in Leeds. The Rev. John J. Murphy, pastor, will officiate.

ASHLAND—Archie R. Nelson, 82, of Ashland, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Columbia memorial Hospital in Hudson.
Born Sept. 30, 1918, on Staten Island, He was the son of George Nelson and Kay Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of staff sergeant, serving from 1942 to 1945. He was award the Bronze Star. He was the member of the Tompkins Masonic Lodge of Staten Island. He worked in the photography field for many years.
He and his wife Margaret moved to Ashland from Staten Island in 1986 and enjoyed his many years on the mountaintop with so many happy memories with their family.
Survivors include a son; David Nelson of Ohio; two daughters, Barbara Provosti of Maplecrest and Dorothy Green of New Jersey; six grandchildren; and four great-grand-children.
Calling hours will be 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Decker Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Windham.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Overton officiating.

CAIRO—Thomas V. Santella, 90, of Cairo, died suddenly Friday, June 8, 2001, at his residence on Joel Austin road.
Born March 22, 1911, in the Bronx, he was the son of the late Melchiore Santella and Theresa (Morano) Santella.
Mr. Santella was an area resident since 1965. During World War II he served with the U.S. Navy.
He was communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Italian-American Club. He loved Baseball.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Madeline (Halvorsen) Santella of Cairo; two sons, Thomas Santella of Virginia and Vincent Santella of New York City; two daughters, Theresa McGuiness of North Carolina and Madeline Price of Texas: a brother John Santella of Florida; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Richards Funeral Home, 383 Bross St., Cairo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church of Cairo. The Rev. Richard Doyle will officiate.

RENSSELAERVILLE—Raymond Tanner Jr., 76, of Rensselaerville, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.
Born April 12, 1925, in Rensselaerville, he was the son of the late Raymond Tanner and Jean (Wood) Tanner.
Mr. Tanner was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served as a torpedoman in the Pacific Theater.
He retired from Clifford B. Hannay & Son Inc., where he had been a welder. Being active in the Rensselaerville community he was a past president and member of the Rensselaerville Democratic Club and the Rensselaerville Senior Citizens.
Survivors include tow daughters, Linda Tozer and Nancy Gallo; three grandchildren, Rebecca Tozer, and Pamela and Christina Gallo; two brothers, Douglas and Gardiner Tanner; two sisters, Bernice Waldron.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Rensselaerville.
Interment will be in the Rensselaerville Cemetery.

EAST JEWETT—Eva Hamsch, 91, of East Jewett, died Monday, June 11, 2001 at Eden Park Nursing Home in Catskill.
Born Jan. 24, 1910, in Liberty, she was the daughter of William Hamsch and Else (Kiel) Hamsch.
Mrs. Hamsch was a supervisor for the Metropolitan Insurance Co., retired in 1975.
She resided in East Jewett for 36 years.
Survivors include her cousin Richard Kiel of Fairlawn, N.J.
A private cremation took place June 12, 2001, at the Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery in Kingston.
Burial of her remains will take place at the East Jewett United Methodist Cemetery at a later date.

CATSKILL—Kevin R. Krauch, 42, of Potic Mountain Road, Catskill, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at his residence.
Born March 6, 1959, in the Bronx, h was the son of Roland Krauch and Gertrude (Mavar) Krauch of Arizona.
Mr. Krauch was an area resident for six years. He was a past member of the Leeds Fire Co. and Catskill Rescue Squad. He also served in the U.S. Navy and loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne (Kuhl) Krauch; four sons Kevin Krauch, Nicklaus Krauch, Kyle Krauch and George Krauch, all of Catskill; a stepdaughter, Kariann Finn of Catskill; five brothers Steven Krauch of Florida, Richard Krauch of Long Island, Timothy Krauch of Maryland, Christian Krauch of New York City and Eric Krauch of Long Island; and a nephew.

Born April 21, 1906, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late George Brown and Marion (Tilden) Brown.
She was a lifelong homemaker and devoted wife and mother.
Mrs. Reed was an active member of the Eastern Star Maranatha Valley Chapter no. 380, Greenville, until she moved to the Masonic Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Sally Chichester of Greenville, a son, George Brown of Toano, Va; four grandchildren, Luman Chichester, Robin Crist and Scott and David Reed; several great-grandchildren a sister, Sally Kinsley; and a brother, Louis Brown.
Mrs. Reed predeceased by her husband, Luman Reed; a son, Henry Reed; four brothers, George, Walter, William, and Danley Brown; and a grandson, Danley Brown.
Calling hours will begin at 7 p.m. Friday. There will be a service conducted by the Eastern Star at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Petrianni has been a resident of Margaretville.
He was born April 22, 1944, in Catskill, son of the late John Petrianni and Louise (Desco) Petrianni.
Private calling hours were Wednesday at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill.
Survivors include a sister, Josephine P. Graham of South Cairo; a brother, John B. Petrianni of Leeds; and several nieces and nephews.

CAIRO—Helen Puglisi, 86, formerly of Cairo, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Mrs. Puglisi was born in Plymouth, Pa., and was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Puglisi Sr., who died in 1994.

CATSKILL—George Dagnello, 86, a lifetime Catskill resident, died Friday evening, June 15, 2001, at Columbia-Greene Long Term Care in Catskill.
Born Nov. 29, 1914, in Catskill, he was the son of the late Raphael Dagnello and Fortuna (Caruso) Dagnello.
Mr. Dagnello was an employee at the Town of Catskill Highway Department for more than 35 years prior to his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Catskill. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Holy Name Society and an honorary member of the A.M. Osborn Hose Co. No. 2.
Survivors include six nephews, Nicholas Martin of Catskill, Albert Martin of Fort Pierce, Fla., Richard Dagnello and Ralph Dagnello, both of Maspeth, Carmine Dagnello of Brooklyn and Rudy Dagnello of Florida; three nieces, Teresa Pulice of Catskill, Antoinette Crocetti of Watertown, Mass. And Susan Grande of Brooklyn; two great-nephews, Gerard Martin and Robert Pulice, both of Catskill; a great-niece, Gina Martin Woodruff of Catskill; and nine nieces and nephews, Michael, Anthony and Robert Pulice, Frank and Stephen and Eileen Crocetti and Tina and Sheila and Maureen Martin.
Mr. Dagnello was predeceased by two sisters, Philomena Martin and Mary Maritato; and four brothers John, Patsy, Michael and Nicholas.

CAIRO—Charles W. Selzner, 84, of Joseph Cadderdon Road, Acra, died Friday, June 15, 2001 at Columbia-Greene Long Term Care in Catskill after a long illness.
Born July 22, 1916, in Massapequa, he was the son of the
late Charles Selzner and Christina (Lange) Selzner.
Mr. Selzner was an area resident for more than 36 years, He owned and operated the Selzner and Goodrich Excavating Co. of Long Island and Acra prior to his retirement.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was also past fire chief of the Massapequa Volunteer Fire Co. of Long Island. He was involved in the North and south Civil War Skirmish Association and Nation Rifle Association and was a member of the Kedemah Lodge F & AM of Cairo No. 693.
Survivors include his wife of eight years. Lorraine R. (Dobert) Selzner of Acra; two sons, Charles W. Selzner Jr. of Long Island and Barry R. Selzner of Esopus; two stepsons, Wayne E. Erickson of Catskill and John Quirk of East Durham; two stepdaughters, Suzanne M. Quirk of East Durham and Gina Heintz of Catskill; four granddaughters, Alisha, Mackenzie, Linda and Jennifer; and on great-grandchild.
Mr. Selzner was predeceased by his first wife Shirley Selzner, in 1991.

Mr. Diller was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Catskill, the son of Herman Diller and Evelyn (Durham) Diller of Catskill. He served in the U.S. Marines and was stationed in the Pacific Theater. He was an employee of the New York State Bridge Authority prior to his retirement in 1977.
In addition to his parents Mr. Diller is survived by a son, Herman W. Diller III of Freehold; two sisters, Beverly Prusky of Climax and Sherry Regan of Catskill; a great-grandson, Herman W. Diller IV; and many cousins , and nieces and nephews.

She was a former licensed practical nurse at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Everett Planck, in 1990.
Survivors include three sons, Richard E. Planck of Knoxville, Tenn., John C. Planck of Buckannon, W. Va., and James E. Planck of Haines Falls; one daughter, the Rev. Barbara Planck of Corydon, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

CAIRO—DAMIAN Battiston, 86, formerly of Cairo and Stuart, Fla., and most recently of Houston, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, in Houston.
Mr. Battiston, or “Skee” as he was affectionately known, was a Cairo resident for 30 years and of Stuart for 15 years, before moving to Houston on June 1, 2001.
While in Cairo, he had his own business and was active in local politics. He held the position of town clerk fro nine years and of county legislator representing Cairo for 11 years.
He was the prior owner of Battiston Aluminum Products.
He was a past grand exalted ruler of the B.P.O.E. of Catskill fourth degree knight in the Knights of Columbus, past president of the Cairo Democratic Club, Sacred Heart Scout leader, Cairo Little League official, and holder of many offices in many other organizations and clubs.
In Stuart, he as a resident of Rustic Hills, where he was known as the unofficial mayor of the community. He was instrumental in the founding of the Holy Redeemer Catholic church and was active in many organization.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Richards Funeral Home, 383 Bross St., Cairo.

Michael Nikoncyk, 83, of Alcove Road, Coeymans Hollow, died at St. Peter’s Hospital on June 19, 2001.
He was born in Bayonne, N. J. on May 3, 1918, son of the late Peter Anastasia (Bajka) Nikoncyk.
He moved to Alcove in 1921 with his family to farm.
He later worked for Vasto Express of Ravena and then for Smith Transport Trucking of Latham, retiring in 1980.
Mr. Nikoncyk was a member of the Teamsters Union 294 and an honorary life member of the Bethlehem Elk’s Lodge no. 2233.
He was also a member of the Purling rod and Gun Club, a life member of the NRA, a member of the East Pond Recreation Club, an associate member of Coxsackie Hose Co. No. 3. When he was younger, he enjoyed marching in the parades.
He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, being outdoors and spending time with this family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, the former Freda “Jane’ Van Hoesen; a daughter, Joy (Hart) Seufert; three grandchildren, Anne Marie Witkowski, Robert Michael Seufert and Deborah Jane Seufert, all of Alcove; a sister in-law, Isabelle (Van Hoesen ) Perry of Coxsackie; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday 10 a.m. from the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville.

Mrs. Payne was an engineering secretary for various companies including Sea/Land in New Jersey.
She had been a volunteer at the Sommerset Medical Center in Somerville, N.J., and was a member of WOWS, a widow and widowers support association.
Survivors include a son, Mathew Ardiere Jr. of Staten Island; three daughters, Sandra C. Palmer of Earlton, Denise Grempel of North Brunswick, N.J. and Patrice m. DeSanto of Springfield, N.J. ; two sisters Maude Smith and Joan Mitchell, both of Little Paxton, Cambridge, England.

CATSKILL—Rita Daley, 96, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at the Adventist Home in Livingston.
Born May 3, 1905, in Carzano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Tavernar and Guistina Zanol Tavernar.
She immigrated to this country in 1932, after her marriage in Italy. She lived for a number of years in Saugerties with her husband, Joseph Daley, who died in 1986. She cultivated a flower garden at their home and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Daley lived in Livingston for nine years and was previously a resident of St. Joseph’s Vila in Catskill.
Survivors include a son, Louise Eugene of Estes Park, Cold,; two daughters, Josephine Welsh of Catskill and Sylvia Diss of Washington, D.C; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Allnutt Funeral Services Estes Chapel, in Estes Park, Col., with interment following at the Estes Valley Memorial Gardens.

He was born on Aug. 30, 1923, in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Llewellyn Neal and Beulah (Keating) Neal.
A local resident for the past 15 years, he previously resided in Hensonville.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army.
Before his retirement, Mr. Neal had been employed with AT&T Telephone Repair Service in Cairo.
He was a member of the Phoenix Orion Lodge No. 205 F&AM in New York City.
Survivors include his wife, Bette (Markham) Neal of Milan; two daughters, Lynn Neal of Taghkanic and Lee Neal of Rhinecliff; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was born April 29, 1915, in Englewood, N.J., the daughter of the late Clarence Boyne and Mary (Day) Boyne. She was a graduate of Catskill High School prior to moving to New York City and was a communicant of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Born Jan.14, 1920, in Perth Amboy, he was the son to the late Michael Berlinsky and Domicella (Swistun) Berlinsky.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a corrections officer at the Coxsackie Correctional Facility for 38years.
During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Force. He was an area resident for the last 80 years.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Beatrice R. (Hoffman) Berlinsky of Hannacroix; two daughters, Ruth Berlinsky and Donna (Berlinsky) Batza; a son, Gary Berlinsky; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Batza) Fink; and a grandson, Stephen Batza, all of Hannacroix.
Mr. Berlinsky was predeceased by a sister, Ann Lee, and three brothers, Otto Berlinsky, Tony Berlinsky, and Joe Berlinsky.

Mr. Lawrence was an accountant for Hughes Aircraft Corp. in California for many years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1945 to 1947.
Mr. Lawrence loved collecting Model-T and antique cars.
He was a life member of the V.F.W. in East Durham, a member of the Grange in California, and a member of the American Legion in California.
Survivors include his brother, Carl Lawrence of Purling; two nephews, Rickie Lawrence of Purling and Richard Lawrence of South Carolina; three nieces, Diane Gatrell of Florida, Barbara Lipford of Mississippi and Cindy Rutherford or Rome N.Y.; several great- nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends; and a dear friend, Chuck Papolie of Palms, Calif.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased last year by a dear friend, Carl Riggins.
Private cremation took place in San Bernardino, Calif.

Mr. Molter was formerly employed at Becker Electronics in East Durham.
Disable since a young man, he was still an outdoorsman and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also active in the Federated Church of Athens and the Athens Senior Citizens serving as a former treasurer, and was also an avid bingo player.
Survivors include two brothers, Henry Molter of East Durham and Eric Molter of Cairo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Coons was a nurse at the Greene Correctional Facility in Coxsackie. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Stockport where she was a member of the Women’s Guild, and past president of the youth group. She was also a member of the Roger’s Hose Fire Company No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary.
Besides her mother, Mrs. Coons is survived by her husband, Edward T. Coons of Stuyvesant; four sons, Thomas E. Coons, Jeffrey Coons, and Adam Coons of Guilderland, and Andrew Coons of Stuyvesant; a sister, Alice Hoffman of Greenport; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas M. Miller.
