Warrant for Coxacky Lodge 50
To the most Worshipful the Grand Lodge of the State of New York
The Petition of the subscribers inhabitants of the Town of Coxacky in the County of Albany ~~~~~~~
Most respectfully sheweth
That your petitioners are inhabitants of the said town of and most of them members of Freehold Lodge in said county but reside to remote from said Lodge or any other Lodge as that it is expensive and difficult and sometimes impossible to attend the meetings of any Lodge and are thus deprived of the improvement in Masonry or the benefits arising from it.
That the said Freehold Lodge of which most off said Petitioners are members and likewise the Lodge at Cats Kills persuaded of your Petitioners situation are willing and disposed in favor of your petitioners in the obtaining of a Warrant from the Grand Lodge constituting a Lodge in the said town of Coxacky in which divers Gentlemen of the first characters reside who are anxious to be initiated in case a Lodge would be established there ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That your petitioners have ratify had a meeting on the subject at which the Officers of this contemplated new lodge were nominated or agreed on, to wit Philip Conine Jun~ Esq~ for Master, Isaac Rosa for Senior Warden, and Benjamin Moore for Junior Warden, whom we beg leave to recommend as Master Masons of good and moral character and capable to discharge the duties of their respective offices ~~~~~
Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray that a warrant may be accordingly issued to constitute a lodge in the Town aforesaid and by the name of Coxacky Lodge, and that a dispensation may be granted to Brother Peter W. Yates Esquire of Albany to install the officers thereof and your petitioners shall ever pray. ~~~~~~~~

WE,
THE GRAND LODGE of the Most Ancient and Honourable Fraternity of FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS, of the STATE of NEW YORK , IN AMPLE form assembled, according to the Old Constitutions regularly and solemnly established under the Auspices of PRINCE EDWIN, at the City of York, in Great Britain, in the Year of Masonry, 4926, viz. ~~~~~The Most Worshipful the Honourable Robert R. DO by the Presents, appoint, authorize and empower our worthy Brother Philip Conine Junior to be the Master; our worthy Brother Isaac Rosa to be the Senior Warden; and our Brother Benjamin Moore to be the Junior Warden, of a Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, to be, by Virtue hereof constituted, formed and held at the Town of Coxacky, in the County of Albany, State of New York, which Lodge shall be distinguished by the Name or Stile of Coxacky Lodge No: 50 and the said Master and Wardens, and their Successors in Office, are hereby respectively authorized and directed, by and with the Assistance and Consent of a Majority of the Members of the said LODGE, duly to be summoned and present upon such Occasions, to ELECT and INSTALL the Officers of the said Lodge as Vacancies happen, in Manner and Form as is or may be prescribed by the CONSTITUTION, of this GRAND LODGE. --------- AND FURTHER the said Lodge is hereby invested with full Power and Authority to assemble upon proper and lawful Occasions, and to MAKE MASONS ------- to ADMIT MEMBERS, --------as also to do and perform all and every such Acts and Things appertaining to the CRAFT AS HAVE BEEN, AND OUGHT TO BE DONE FOR, THE Honour and Advantage thereof; conforming in all their Proceedings to the CONSTITUTIONS of this GRAND LODGE, otherwise this WARRANT AND THE powers thereby granted to cease and be of no further Effect.
GIVEN under our Hands and the Seal of our GRAND LODGE, IN THE city of New York in North America, the sixth Day of July in the Year of our LORD, One Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety six and in the Year of our MASONRY, Five Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety six
