*Because the clerk who entered this will into the county record tended to rest the tip of his pen on the document, it is very difficult to determine the exact punctuation. The clerk often randomly capitalizes nouns such as Brother(s), Daughter(s), Estate, Farm, Granddaughter, Grandson, Legacy, etc. and some adjectives such as Eight, etc. or does not capitalize words such as Bible, etc. I have normalized the capitalization to twenty-first century American Standard for ease of reading. I have not normalized spelling errors.

** The insertion of Ruth's name here appears to be an error as Ruth was already deceased; this daughter probably should have been Eunice. Cleghorn of Chadron, Nebraska to the Nebraska and Midwest Genealogical Record, Volume 4, July 1926, on pages 288 and 289.
