Any person interested in family history and genealogical research is invited to join the Society. Members receive four issues of Tree Talks.  The December issue is usually in two parts: 1) a complete transcription of a Census or other significant record from one county, with index, and 2) a subject and every-name index to the March, June and September issues.

CNYGS E-News is a bi-weekly newsletter  distributed to members who provide an e-mail address. CNYGS E-News is authored and edited by Sheila Byrnes. Sheila is an experienced genealogy author, teacher, and presenter.  She has written similar columns for The Post-Standard for 16 years, and for other publications including �New England Ancestors� and �Oswego County Genealogy Society�s Newsletter.�  She is a member of several genealogical organizations and travels regularly to conferences and workshops which keeps her current and on the cutting edge of genealogy-related matters. A wide range of subject matter will be covered.

Members may submit Queries of up to approximately 50 words, annually (which may be included with this membership form, if you wish, along with a listing of the Surnames and locations which you are researching). Queries and Surnames will be posted on the web site.

Membership is for the calendar year.
CNYGS Year-2015 Dues are as follows:

Single membership - $ 30.   Institutions - $ 30.
Family membership - $ 35.   
International (& Canadian) members - US$ 45.
Contributing membership - $ 43. minimum
