daughter of John and Sabra Preston Putnam. Zadoc and Amanda had 12 children.

Samuel Waterman, born July 26, 1802 in Mass and died July 16, 1890 at the

home of Seeley Waterman of cancer. He married Rhoda Scofield the daughter

of Miles and Sarah Putnam Scofield. They had seven children.

Rhoda Waterman, born Aug 1804 and died in childhood

Susan Waterman, born Jan 29, 1807 in Lime, NH and died Sept 15, 1895. Buried

in Dewittville Cemetery. Married Azariah Ingerson. They had 4 children.

Mary Waterman, born June 22, 1809 and died Oct 12, 1880. She never married.

Cyrus Waterman, born Dec 2, 18ll and died in childhood

Asahel Waterman, born Nov 17, 1813 and died April 17, 1888. He married

Sarah ________somewhere in the west. They had 4 children.

Betsey C. Waterman, born April 17, 1817 and died Sept 27, 1897. She married

Andrew Fitzpatrick. They had 6 children.

Cyrus H. Waterman, born Jan 28, 1822 and died Dec l, 1864. He married Sarah

Waterman. They had 5 children.

Notes for AZARIAH INGERSON:

The death of Azariah Ingerson of Dewittville, which occurred January 20,
1888, removes one of the oldest inhabitants of the county, and one of
thefirst settlers of Ellery.

Azariah Ingerson was born in the town of Hadley, Saratoga County, N.Y.,
February 15, 1802, and was therefore 86 years old at the time of his death.

He removed to Chautauqua County, June 10, 1805, and has lived ever since
within one and one-half miles of the place where he first settled.

He married Susan Waterman, October 19, 1826. He was a Deacon of the
Christian Church at Dewittville and the first regular teacher at Waterman's
