The following record of this cemetery is a combination of three sets of records,
namely a card file, lot book and the markers in the cemetery.
Ethel Gibbs Bastian is the person who combined the records for this cemetery.
She noted that many discrepancies were found and she tried to solve them by reading obits
and with the help of the town clerk.
The records are complete through 23 September 1986.
The first burial was John E. s/o John E. and Sebyl Frank 10 Aug 1811.
There are approximately 3500 burials.

In an area at the rear of the cemetery, near the tool house, there are a number of
markers indicating that at some time burials were made there.
There is no record of this area being laid out in lots or a record in the book of the burials.
I felt that a record should be made of these burials and the following names and dates appear on the markers.
It is not complete because some of the names could not be read and also some of the old markers
have fallen to the ground and are covered with sod.
This area is bounded as follows: on the north by section 2, on the west by 3rd drive, on the east by Section 3A,
on the south by the road at the rear of the cemetery.
