Our home is sad and lonely
Father’s gone.
Jesus came and touched his forehead
Ben is now alone.
Father was a faithful servant,
Has been tried so long and well;
John the eldest, can say truly,
"Jesus doth all things well."
Father, mother, both have left us,
and lying neath the sod.
Jack, the youngest, knows his parents
Have gone home to meet their God.
