Hello: My name is Sandy Rice and I have just returned from a "genealogy"
trip to Cattaraugus County. I will probably be contacting you about a lot of
names etc. Right now just getting my data caught up.
I love this webpage--! One of the best I have seen. I get lots of
information and since I live in Santa Barbara Ca., it will be a long time
before I can go to Cattaraugus again.

I would like to add to the 154th Infantry: Isreal Rickards was born March
25, 1840 at Freedom, N. Y.. He enlisted Aug 15, 1862 at Yorkshire, N. Y. and
was discharged June 11, 1865. He was a member of Rust Post 357. He died
April 11, 1928 in Great Valley, N. Y. I don't know what his rank was but was
probably a private--I think he drove a wagon. He was my great grandfather.

Some other surnames from Cattaraugus that are in my tree are:

Case
Milks
Markham
Rhodes/Rhoades
Wallace
Roy

I will be adding them to the town to which they belong.

Again--I really appreciate this webpage--The librarians at Little Valley knew
of you, but didn't realize what was available.

Sandy
