DISTRICT NUMBER 22

or Scriba, was in the northern part of the town. Some property there borders the St Lawrence River and Kring Point State Park. George Kring owned the state park land. The schoolhouse was built on the Harder property and is now gone. It burned.

The District Superintendent, Mr. D.D. Marshall, reported of it in September 1912:
Cora D. Wagoner, Redwood, teacher, Academic, $9.00
4 pupils registered
Leonard Bass, Redwood, trustee.
Grace M. Taylor, Redwood, teacher, TTC, $9.00
6 pupils registered
John McDonald, Redwood, trustee. Valuation $2,000, rate 1.75

From a tiny notebook, copied from Notes from Reports of School districts in Town of Alexandria to Supervisor, 1856-1877 in possession of Clifford Schryver [of Omar?] Supervisor was Gurnee [Greene?] part of time. In front note from Geo. H. Strough School Com 3rd district Jefferson County to Andrew Cornwell, Esq. June 27th 1864.
