DISTRICT NUMBER 16

was called Dean District. The District Superintendent, Mr. D.D. Marshall, reported of it in September 1912:
Miss E. Ruth Allen, Alexandria Bay, teacher, TTC, $10.50
10 pupils registered
No evidence of care of the building on the part of the trustees.
February 1913: Gertrude Holloway, teacher
March, 1913: Miss Jessie M. Allen, teacher
Warren Reedes, trustee, Alexandria Bay
Advised moving the building to (added site) as soon as weather permits.
May: Looked over proposed site.

From a tiny notebook, copied from Notes from Reports of School districts in Town of Alexandria to Supervisor, 1856-1877 in possession of Clifford Schryver [of Omar?] Supervisor was Gurnee [Greene?] part of time. In front note from Geo. H. Strough School Com 3rd district Jefferson County to Andrew Cornwell, Esq. June 27th 1864.
