LOG CABIN WITH SIDING

TAKEN A SCANT TWO OR THREE YEARS LATER, THIS IS THE WHOLE OF THIS GENERATION OF WAGONERS. THE SLAT HAMMOCK AT THE CORNER OF THE HOUSE WAS FONDLY REMEMBERED BY EVARD, AS WERE THE VARIOUS APPLE TREES, STILL LIVING WHEN HE RETURNED TO THE FARM IN 1935. THIS HOUSE, IN THIS FORM, WAS TO SHELTER YET ANOTHER GENERATION BEFORE IT WAS PULLED DOWN. TO THE SURPRISE OF THOSE WHO DEMOLISHED IT, EVERY LOG WAS STILL SOUND.
