THE ORIGINAL WAGONER FARMHOUSE
THIS HOUSE OVERLOOKED THE ST LAWRENCE RIVER FROM ITS RISE OF GROUND, JUST BELOW DINGMAN POINT. IN THE 1892 MAP IT IS MARKED "UNDERWOOD", AND WAS THE LAST HOUSE ON THE ROAD. FROM THE WINDOWS AND DOOR IN THE FRONT, THE FAMILY COULD LOOK ACROSS THE RIVER TO SEE THE AMERICAN CHANNEL, NOW THE SEAWAY, AND THE CANADIAN MAINLAND, AS WELL AS SEVERAL OF THE THOUSAND ISLANDS.
