From Memories of the Thousand Islands Sun, by the gracious permission of Jeanne Snow, editor. Known today as Devil's Oven, its cave is said to be the hiding spot of the notorious "pirate" Johnson. His daughter Kate is supposed to have clandestinely brought him food by skiff.
