[20821] In Jail Here Man Served Twenty-Four Hours in Jail on Bigamy Charge Edward Nuckols, a white man, who recently served the remarkably short sentence of twenty-four hours in jail for bigamy, was in police court yesterday morning on the charge of stealing a horse and buggy of the value of $150, beloning to Bruce Jennings. The theft is alleged to have been committed on May 2, 1904. Nuckols was arrested in Baltimore by Detective Alex Tomlinson and brought to this city. He had been convicted in Baltimore of bigamy, and had served a sentence of 24 hours, the shortest on record, so says Chief Tomlinson. Nuckols employed an attorney and asked that his case be continued until the 29th
