Taken c. 1928, this shows Len Whatson holding Clifton, born 1928 with wife Ada, next to them and Ena, born 1926 sitting at her mother’s feet.

Taken c.1929 shows the Whatson family on the left. Can anyone put a name to the other family of 3 boys and 2 girls, they have added another baby to their family. The two photographs would probably have been taken in the Jones Island/Ghinni Ghinni area where Len Whatson was born in 1900.

This photo was taken at "Stoney Creek Station", Southgate, Clarence River the home of James John Havinden and Matilda Maria Havinden nee Small. The Date was 4th July, 1912 on the occasion of Mary Louisa Isabell Laura Havinden's marriage to Frank Berry. This photo was the property of Jean Campbell Small. She gave it to her niece Jean Macleay nee Small and was able to identify some of the guests. I would like to ascertain the identity of the guests, particularly the children in the front row. Matilda Havinden, known as Aunty Till, is in the 2nd front row, 2nd from the right.

This photo of was in the collection of my grandmother Annie Philipa Walters. There is no name on the photo and the back does not indicate a studio, being printed as a postcard. She is remarkably like Melville Ellen Walters but the eyes are not sufficiently alike for it to be her. There is also a resemblance to Annie Elsie Walters (married to Henry) but again the eyes and nose are not sufficiently alike to be sure.
There is a chance that it may be a photo of Melville's mother Emily Alexander Harrison. She lived from 1840 to 1912 and the photo could have been taken in the 1860s or 1870s.
Annie referred to her grandmother Emily as the "midwife to the gentry of Sydney".

I know this photo to be of my grandmother Annie Philippa Cross (nee Waltera) and her siblings. It was taken at the Botanical Gardens about 1939. My grandmother is the person on the right hand side, my mother Edith Melville Small is with my sister Anne and I. I believe all the ladies in the photo to have been Misses Walters and given their married name they could be the following : Ellen H Doyle, Emily C Elliott, Edith M Chapman, Ada A Scaysbrook, Florence M Ridley, Millie P Reedy and Hilda Walters. The men could be either the Walters brothers or grandma's brothers-in-law. Any help in identification would be appreciated.

This photograph of my mother’s father Thomas Dunning Birtwistle (1873 – 1949) was taken at The Entrance. I do not know who is on his right or the date of the photograph. Can anyone help?

This a photo I know nothing about. I do a lot of craft things and I was looking at a picture frame sorely in need of restoration. It contained a wedding photo of Elsie Smith and Robert Robinson, my grandmother’s brother. I removed the photo to find this photo behind. I do not know who he is. I think we need to take care when disposing of old pictures and their frames.
