Welcome to the North GenWeb
(a county project of the NSWGenWeb)

The Northern region of New South Wales (often referred to as the New England district) is characterised by foothills and plains to the west; and vast tablelands in the east. It spans an area of 98,606 square kilometres; its two major cities are Tamworth and Armidale.  Thirteen shires comprise the North - Armidale Dumaresq, Glen Innes Severn, Gunnedah, Guyra, Gwydir, Inverell, Liverpool Plains, Moree Plains, Narrabri, Tamworth, Tenterfield, Uralla and Walcha.

POSITION VACANT: A volunteer is required to fill the vacant position of County Coordinator.  As Coordinator you would be responsible for maintaining the County GenWeb website.  Reporting directly to the State Coordinator, a County Coordinator liaises with the Local GenWeb Coordinators, providing guidance and assistance if required.  Existing Local GenWeb Coordinators are welcome to apply for the position.  Please contact the Australian Coordinator for further information
