The JOHN VIDLER / MARY ANN CURRAN line

John VIDLER was born at Horsmonden, KEN on November 24th, 1820, the son of Samuel VIDLER and Elizabeth (nee METLAND). He is descended from the Ticehurst branch of the Vidlers, with the earliest known members of this branch being John VICTUALLER (c1683-1777) [John's g3-gf], his sister Hannah (c1692-1772) and brother Richard (d.1746).

Details of his arrival in Australia, or any details about Mary CURRAN's origins, are currently unknown to me.

John and Mary married in Melbourne, Vic about 1845 and had 8 children of which we know:
