There are a number of flat stone markers here and Ebenezer Berry, his wife, son Lemuel, and Peninah (Berry) Crocheron and perhaps others should be buried here.
Peninah MacKenzie and James W. McLean were the children of James McLean and Eleanor (Crocheron) McLean. John Crocheron was Eleanor's brother and their parents were Abraham and Peninah (Berry) Crocheron. Abraham was said to have been killed on an American privateer.
James McLean's second wife was Catherine Sophia (Dexter) Bower, widow of James Bower and mother (with James Bower) of (a) Elizabeth b. 1821, m. (1) Isaac Enslow and (2) Henry Hemeon; (b) John b. 1823, m. Agnes Hamilton; (c) Catherine b. 1825, m. Thomas Jones Crocheron; (d) Mary Ann b. 1828, m. Donald McAlpine [ancestors of the coordinator of this site]; (e) James b. 1830, m. Emily Brown; and (f) Charles b. 1833, m. Rhoda Ann McKenzie. James McLean and Catherine had two children: Allan b. 1839 and Almira b. 1842.
