A precious one from us is gone, a voice we loved is still.
A place is vacant in our home which never can be filled.

17. Erected in memory of Nancy Colquhon, a native of Apin, Argyleshire, Scotland,
wife of Alexander McDonald, Cape John, who died Dec. 15, 1850, 73.
By the Christian kindness and generosity of her life,
she was indeared to all who knew her and in her death was much lamented.
Also Alexander McDonald, he said husband. A native of Glencoe, Argyleshire, Scotland.
He emigrated in the year 1801 and departed this life Apr. 18, 1863 in the 84th year of his life.
Asleep in Jesus, o how sweet, to be for such a slumber meet,
with holy confidence to sing, that death has lost his venom'd sting.

a native of Argyleshire in the parish of Appin, Scotland.
