McCAMON, Mabel Bliss - 71, Coldbrook, Kings Co., passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Coldbrook, she was a daughter of the late Robert "Ackman" and Evelyn (Illsley) Ward. She had been employed with Maritime Tel. and Tel. as an operator and as a supervisor. She enjoyed reading, the time she spent raising her family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Ethelwynn (Brian) Swinamer, Mahone Bay; Ruth (Russell Roy) McCamon, Sackville; Elizabeth (nee Frezell) (Jeff) Neaves, Coldbrook; sons, Roger (Mary Bond), New Minas; Greg, Cole Harbour; Jamie (Jean), North Alton; sister, Charlotte (John) Legge, Centreville; brother, Fletcher (Marion) Ward, Coldbrook; grandchildren, Melissa A., Jody, Ryan, Robbie, Aimee, Krista, Diana, Melissa J., Trevor, Lucas, Quinton, Makaila, Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren, Avery and Hanna; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Peter McCamon; her common-law husband, Sutton Frezell; sister, Manetta; infant sister, Rose; brother, Avery, and grandson, Kevin. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, cremation to follow. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 19, in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Licentiate Virginia DeAdder officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. McCONNELL, A. Craig 'Well-Known Farmer Craig McCONNELL dies in Kentville' - 70, Grafton, Kings County, died Monday at Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hospital, Kentville. Born in Welsford, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Finn) McConnell. He was a member of Berwick United Church, and served as a steward. He owned and operated a farm in Grafton. He was a director of Kings Mutual Insurance Company, a former director of Scotian Gold and a former director of the Nova Scotia Fruit Growers Association. He was an avid curler. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Rood; a daughter, Penny (Mrs. Robert Lowe), Toronto; a brother, William, Florida; five sisters, Grace, Seattle, Wash.; Susan Moir; Norma (Mrs. Fred Wheeler); Olive McCox, all of Boston; Joyce (Mrs. Colin MacGowan), Halifax; two grandsons. He was predeceased by a brother, Fred; four sisters, Hilda, Leanna, Kathleen, Bessie. The body is at H. C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Berwick United Church, Rev. Paul Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Berwick Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia HeartFund or any charity. from W. L. McNEILL, Mrs. Eleanor - The death took place on Thursday last, at her home on Foster Street, of Mrs. Eleanor McNeill, widow of the late Alfred McNeill, Esq. Mrs. McNeill has been in failing health for some time. A few weeks ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis, since which time her hold on life has been gradually loosening and on Thursday last, as we have said, the end came. The funeral took place on Sabbath, the Rev. Mr.Bryant conducting services. Eleanor and Alfred are both buried in Berwick Cemetery, Berwick, Nova Scotia. The Register, Berwick, Kings County, Nova Scotia published Thursday March 14, 1912.
