ATWELL, Marilyn Kathleen - 67, Gaspereau Mountain, Kings Co., passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Veino and Marguerite (Cook) Cavanagh. She had been employed with the Steadman's Store in Wolfville and later the Wolfville School. She most recently looked after housework and cared for many people throughout the Wolfville area. She enjoyed being home, taking care of family, and tending to her flower garden. She is survived by daughters, Shannon (Danny) Legge, Blomidon; Marina Atwell (Mike Maillet), Halifax; sons, Danny, Greenfield; Troy, Gaspereau; Raymond, Halifax; brother, Leroy (Pauline) Cavanagh, Gaspereau Mountain; grandchildren, Jason, Jeffrey, Emily, Evan and Cody. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude, and grandson, Aaron. Cremation has taken place under the direction of White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, and there was no visitation by family request. A private family graveside memorial service was held at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, July 27, in Gaspereau Cemetery, Rev. Dr. Mark Parent officiated. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
