This is a work in progress. The following is a partial list of Saint John's Anglican Church Cemetery. I am in the process of transcribing the headstones that are in this cemetery. Due to the size of this cemetery this transcription might take a few months. If you would like to help me transcribe Saint John's Anglican Church Cemetery in Fairview then please email me at [email protected]

Saint John's Anglican Church was built in 1841 and opened for services on December 25, 1841. The cemetery is located in present day Fairview Cove, along the Bedford Basin, on the corner of the Bedford Highway and Windsor Street. It is also right next to the gigantic Fairview Lawns Cemetery, which opened in 1893. The oldest Headstone that I saw just from glancing at them as I walked by was 1845. Many of the original settlers of the Fairview area along Dutch Village Road are buried in this cemetery. The Cemetery has been in operation since 1839.

With this Cemetery Survey I hope to add information about the people that are buried in the cemetery. With the help of resources avaliable at the Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management, I hope to be able to add obituaries, census information, marriage, birth and so on. Whatever I find I will hopefully be able to add. We are in the process of adding pictures of the headstones to the website as well.

The following is an alphabetical listing of all the headstones in this cemetery. Some headstones have more then one surname listed on them. In case more than one name is on the headstone then it is listed under the first name mentioned.
