OBIT
The remains of the late ALEX WILSON were laid beside those of his wife on Friday last. The funeral being conducted from the Presbyterian Church.

BORN
At Oxford, June 19th to Mr. & Mrs. WALLACE CONRAD, a son.
At Oxford, June 21st to Mr. & Mrs. BAKER GORDON, a daughter.
At Mt. Pleasant, June 22nd to Mr. & Mrs. ALBERT FAYE, a son.

Among those from Nova Scotia who were filled in the recent terrible mining disaster at Frank, B.C. where nearly 200 miners lost their lives was Mr. NICHOLSON MAGENEY, foster father of Mrs. BEDFORD MILLER of this town. The family formerly resided in Springhill & moved west a few years ago.
