Died - Irving JAMIESON, 81, North Wallace, March 14 in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash.

Several hundred citizens of Oxford and area attended the official opening of the new library quarters of the Oxford Branch of the Cumberland Regional Library, held Monday night.
The Cumberland County Family Planning, located in Amherst, was incorporated on January 27. Executive director is Rosemary CROWE.
Died at his home in Pugwash on March 9, Donald Clayton SARSON, 71.
Died - Lyle C. CHAPMAN, 71, Northport, on March 9 in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.

Charles BLACK of Oxford received a broken leg and a badly injured knee in a snowmobile accident on March 13.
Died at Sunny Acre Farm, Saint John, New Brunswick, Mrs. Matilda Anne HUNTER, 83, formerly of Westchester.
Died at Peterboro, Ontario on March 16, Everett PARK, eldest son of the late Dr. J.E. PARK of Oxford.

Jean SLADE and John GREW of Oxford and Eleanor ROBBINS of Yarmouth, have been selected to perform in a Mount Allison Student Concert tour of the Maritimes and Newfoundland.
A.B. BETTS' sawmill at Wentworth is busy, and they are cutting hemlock on their East Wentworth lot.
Farms at North Wallace are being visited by foxes and wildcats. A housecat was killed by a wildcat quite close to farm buildings.

Died at Amherst on March 9, John F. O'BRIEN, 77, a native of Pugwash Junction.
Died at Pugwash on February 27, Mrs. John B. MITCHELL, 64, who taught school in Cumberland County for 24 years.
Died at Truro on March 4, Mrs. J. Arthur MURRAY, 60, of Roslin, Cumberland County.

John JOHNSON, driving a half ton truck, collided with a herd of deer on the Oliver Road on March 17.
Hazen RIPLEY of Port Howe had a narrow escape from drowning when he dropped through the honey-combed ice while crossing Eel Creek.

Died at Collingwood on March 12, Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson GORDON, 79, wife of Gay GORDON of Oxford, and widow of the late Welsford JACKSON formerly of Millvale.
Died at New Salem, Cumberland County, March 20, Mrs. William LUNN, 88, a resident of Oxford for nearly 20 years. J. Ross LUNN of Oxford is her son.

Construction of a new aircraft overhaul depot in Amherst, in connection with the plant of the Canadian Car and Foundry Company, will begin at once.
The Twelve Club of Oxford held an enjoyable straw ride to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack HUDSON, Hudson's Corner, on March 18.
