Two Nova Scotians, Father and Son Killed
Truro, N.S. Jan 12 - W.H. SLOCUMB and his son, Cecil, were instantly killed at Glen Long, Wash, on Nov 27th by an engine of an express, running at 35 miles an hour, striking their automobile and hurling it 100 feet.
Mr. SLOCUMB was born at Argyle, N.S. 47 years ago.
He spent 20 years in the railroad business, being dispatcher, agent and traveling auditor for the Halifax and Yarmouth, the Intercolonial the Dominion Atlantic and the Canadian Northern railroads. He was a member of Acadia Lodge No. 13. A.F. and A.M., located at Pugwash, Nova Scotia.
Cecil SLOCUMB was born at Pugwash, Nova Scotia, 16 years ago.
Surviving the wife and mother -Mrs. Marion Cook Simonson SLOCUMB, a daughter of E.C. SIMONSON formerly of Yarmouth.

WEDDING BELLS - ANDERSON - AMON
A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnized at the Baptist Church at Parrsboro on Wednesday evening, Dec 24th, when Mr. Albert R. ANDERSON was united in marriage to Miss Flora AMON, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. C.W. COOK.
The bride entered the Church on the arm of her father, Howard AMON by whom she was given in marriage and took her place beside the groom. She wore a tailored suit of navy serge with gray hat and gloves with gaiters to match and a set of black furs, gift of the groom. She was attended by her sister, Miss Ethel AMON. The groom was attended by Mr. Everett HYNDMAN of Collingwood. Immediately after the ceremony they motored to the home of the bride, where supper was served. Mr. & Mrs. Albert R. ANDERSON left n the morning train for a trip to Stellarton. On their return they will reside in Parrsboro. Both bride and groom have the bet wishes of their many friends.

**Miss Ruth LeCAIN, who with her sister, Miss Cassie, has been spending some months in town since the death of their father, the late Capt. F.N. LeCAIN, left last week for Lowell, Mass., where she will take up a coarse as a professional nurse. Miss Cassie will remain here and continue her school studies. Mr. & Mrs. Francis LeCAIN are now residing in Dorchester, Mass., where the former is employed.

At the Methodist Parsonage, Oxford, Dec 29th, Carrol H. FILLMORE of Collingwood to Miss Frances W. HERRITT of Rodney.
