OBIT - Miss HAZEL K. HARPER

At Keene, N.H. on Nov. 3rd after a short illness from influenza followed by pneumonia. Miss HAZEL K. HARPER, youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C.E. HARPER of Keene, passed peacefully away; she was a young lady of excellent Christian character, sweet, sunny disposition the sunshine of the home. She had a wide circle of friends and was loved by everyone who knew her. She took an active part in the Methodist Church was a teacher in the Sunday School and was always ready to help in any good work. She will be greatly missed in the community in which she lived. Mrs. C.E. HARPER is a daughter of Mr. GEORGE KING and a sister of Mrs. E.B. McDOUGALL and Miss MARY KING of this town.

OBIT - Mr. BEDFORD MILLER

Many friends will learn with deep regret of the death of Bedford MILLER, which occurred Oct. 31st, at his home on Chapel St., Springhill. He was taken ill with Spanish Influenza. All that loving hands could do was done to Restore health and strength, but on the following Tuesday the disease turned to bronchial pneumonia, which caused his death. At 8 o'clock Thursday evening he died, trusting in Jesus. The deceased was 29 years old. He leaves a wife and 2 children to mourn the death and to cherish the memory of a loving husband and father. He is also survived by both parents:

Mr. & Mrs. RUFUS MILER of this town, and 3 sisters, Mrs. BURNEY MEGENEY of Springhill,
Mrs. JACOB DeLONG of Oxford and
Miss GERTRUDE MILLER at home, and 2 brothers,
WILBERT of New Glasgow and
WALTER at home besides large number of friends in different parts of the Province.

The funeral service was held Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Mr. SWETMAN. He spoke every comfortingly to the bereaved ones, and lightened the heavy sorrow that had come so suddenly into their happy home..

OBIT - Mrs. GEORGE STONE

There passed away on Monday morning 11th, inst, at her home, Mrs. ANGELA STONE beloved wife of Mr. GEORGE STONE of this town. Mrs. STONE underwent a very critical though successful operation at Halifax Infirmary about 6 months ago. She improved so as to be able to return home and her family and friends had every hope for her recovery, but other diseases set in, which caused her death. She leaves to mourn their loss, a sorrowing husband and 6 children, also 3 sisters,

Mrs. D'AMBOISE of Quebec and
Mrs. CHAPMAN of New York.
The funeral services were conducted at the house by the Rev. F. DOODY of Springhill. Interment took place at the R.C. Cemetery, Streets Ridge.

OBIT - Mrs. WILLIAM G. ETTER

The very sad death of MARGARET JEAN beloved wife of WILLIAM G. ETTER occurred at her residence, River Philip on Wednesday, Oct. 30th at 12 o'clock, noon, after an illness of one week. The deceased contracted influenza, which developed into a severe form of pneumonia. For 2 or 3 days her condition was regarded as very critical but as she had youth and vitality on her side, hopes were entertained for her recovery, but the hopes were in vain. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. ROBERT BAXTER, River Philip. She is survived by her husband, mother, father, 6 sisters and one brother at home. The burial took place on Thursday afternoon, owing to the prevailing epidemic, only a short service was held at the grave. A large number of friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to one who had won many friends by her sunny and loving disposition. She was a decided favorite with all who knew her.
