East Liecester

OBIT - Pte. BLAIR COLE
A sad death occurred at Advocate on Monday of this week, when BLAIR COLE a returned soldier passed away after a brief illness. The deceased was about 20 years of age. He went overseas with the Highland Brigade, serving in France for some time, being gassed and wounded. He returned home about 3 weeks ago apparently in fairly good health evidently, however, the effects of the gas had weakened his lungs, lung trouble set in and despite all that could be done for him he died after a brief illness of 3 weeks.
