Pine Grove Cemetery was given it Act of Incorporation on 15 April 1890. The first burial was the little son of Col. WILLIAM OXLEY.

Mrs. SMITH of Oxford Junction died, resided with her son, WILLIAM SMITH at "Poplar Grove" farm. Funeral on Tuesday morning at sons home. Remains were conveyed by train to Westbrook, where they found their last resting place.

WILLIAM KEILOR's funeral took place Thursday afternoon, 23rd at 2 p.m. from his home at Henderson St. Services by Pastor J.S.S. SMITH. He was a member of the Oxford Fire Dept.

Mrs. DAVID WOOD after a lingering illness of South Oxford, passed away on Thursday 23rd. She was the daughter of the late EDWARD GORDON (nee Martha GORDON) she leaves her husband and 5 sons and 4 daughters.
Daughters are:
Mrs. McKENZIE - Victoria
Mrs. GAY GORDON - Black River
Miss MAY WOOD - at home.
Sons are:
EDWARD, ARTHUR, HORACE, EARL & LUTHER
Remains laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery.

At Middleboro on 17th April Mr. JOSEPH REID, 60 years. He leaves a widow (nee Mrs. BEEBE). Funeral was held on Monday, 20th.

PERCY PERRY, aged about 20 yrs, a clerk in the Hespeler Br. of the Bank of Toronto, committed suicide at the G.T.R. station at Fergus Friday by shooting himself.

A well known Sandwich, G.B. licensed victualler named JOHN HARVEY committed suicide in a water tub in the stable yard. The unfortunate man had placed the water pipe in his mouth and then turned on the tap.

Wedding - HOLLIS - WOOD

A very pretty wedding took place Thursday afternoon 30th at the
residence of Mr. & Mrs. HAZEN S. WOOD, John Black Road when Miss MARGARET E. WOOD, sister of Mr. HAZEN WOOD was united in marriage to SAMUEL M. HOLLIS, West Leicester.
The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. CUMMINGS, paster of the First Baptist Church in the presence of a large number of assembled friends and relatives.
The parlor where the ceremony was performed was prettily decorated for the occasion and the bride and groom were attended by Mr. JOHN WOOD, brother of the bride and Miss SMITH, sister of Mrs. H.S. WOOD. After congratulations had been tendered to the young couple the guests sat down to a sumptuous repast. Mr. & Mrs. HOLLIS will reside in West Leicester.

J.R. DICKIE - Harness maker living in Oxford, NS is a native of St. John, NB. He moved to Kentville, NS and now has moved back to Oxford, NS.

D.D. MacKINTOSH - 22 yrs of age moved to Oxford from Springville, Pictou Co., NS.

DAVID JOYCE moved to Oxford from Wallace. Born in Tatamagouche Bay, he has brought 18 yrs experience in the carriage building to Oxford.

Mr. G.E. BUCHANAN, is the Manager of the Bank of Nova Scotia in Oxford.

Mr. WELDON PATTON of Roslin, graduated from Dalhousie with his M.D. and will proceed to Labrador to take up practice.

SIDNEY and TUPPER EMBREE, sons of the late LEANDER EMBREE left last week for the "wild & woolly west", taking horses, farming implements and lumber for building purposes. They have evidently gone west to stay.

Messrs. WETHERBEE set up their sawmill near the residence of Mr. HENRY EMBREE and are sawing up his logs into lumber.

Mr. ISAAC MATTINSON is also busy sawing laths.

Mrs. O.C. THOMPSON (nee Miss EDITH SMITH) of Oxford at her home in Dryden, Ontario.
