WEDDING - McIVOR - McLEAN

Gulf Shore lost one of their most charming and popular young ladies when Miss PAULINE McLEAN became the bride of Mr. STEWART McIVOR of North Wallace on Wednesday, Dec 18th. The nuptials were consummated at St. Matthews Manse, Wallace, Rev. J.W. BRITTON officiated. Miss JESSIE McIVOR of Gulf Shore was bridesmaid, while Mr. LAURIE McLEOD supported the groom. The bride was tastefully attired in a navy travelling suit with white hat. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the grooms mother, Mrs. JAMES McIVOR of North Wallace. Miss McLEAN was enrolled on the Teaching Staff of Cumberland Co. and has been a very popular and successful teacher in the School Sections in which she has taught. Many valuable and useful presents, of chewues, silver, linen, china, furniture etc., were received, testifying to their esteem. This happy couple will reside in North Wallace where they are followed by the good wishes of their many friends.

Mr. & Mrs. PHILIP FAHEY wish to express their deep thanks and gratitude to many friends for their great kindness shown and letters of condolence received also calls at the home since the death of their son, WILLIAM A. in the West.
Their sympathy shown in their bereavement will never be forgotten.

DIED
Mr. SAMUEL J. MATTINSON, Mount Pleasant, passed away at Highland View Hospital recently after an operation, aged about 52 years. He had a farm at Mount Pleasant, but was a sawyer of late years. He leaves a widow, 3 daughters,
Mrs. ERNEST BLACK, Oxford,
Mrs. JAMES FRASER and
Mrs. ANGUS DIXON, River View and one son,
FLOYD at home.

The remains were brought home and the funeral was conducted by Rev. G.R. KYLE, and burial took place at the Birch Grove Cemetery.

Mr. HARRY O'BRIEN received the sad news of the death of his brother, Mr. DAN O'BRIEN who was residing in Haverhill, Mass.
