Died at All Saints Hospital on November 1, J. David MURPHY, 76, of Victoria.

Died at Halifax on October 22, Boyd Scott HALVERSON, age 8, son of Milton and Jean Halverson of West Pugwash.

Died T. Scott RIDDELL, 72 of Oxford and Springhill on October 31.

Thursday, October 31, 1940

One day last week, Mr. T.A. MIESTER, Douglas FRASER and George DELANEY were successful in shooting a bear in the vicinity of Caldwell Brook, Westchester.

At Westchester Mountain on October 23, Raymond HALLIDAY shot a buck deer with 20-point antlers.

H.M.C.S. Margaree was lost in a collision in the night hours of October 22, while on convoy duty.
