Upper District of the County of Sydney, Court Probate of Wills


Be it remembered that in the twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six,administration of all and singular the goods challets and credits which were of Martin MacDonald late of Knoydart, Gulf Shore, in the Upper District of the County of Sydney Yeoman deceased, at the time of his death of died intestate was in due form of law granted to Alexander MacDonald (Widow’s Son) of Arisaig Gulf Shores in the Upper district of the County of Sydney Yeoman, and to John MacDonald (Martin’s Son) of Knoydart Gulf Shore in the Upper District of the said County Yeoman they having been first sworn faithfully to administer the same and havinggiven bonds with good securities for the sum of four hundred pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia as is required by law which securities are Alexander McGillivary (Captain’s Son) of Knoydart in the Upper district of the said County Yeoman and John MacDonald (Widow’s Son) of Malignant Brook in the Upper District of the said County Yeoman ____________________
