At Bailey's Brook, on the 2nd inst.,
after a long illness, which he bore with Christian resignation
fortified by the last rites of the
church, Lauchlin McDonald
(Ban),
in the 78th year of his age, leaving a sorrowing wife, 3 sons and 4
daughters to mourn their loss. He was an honest, industrious and
obliging man much esteemed by all who knew him. May his soul rest
in peace.

28th), in the 74th year of her age, fortified by the last rites of the
Church, Rebecca, widow of the
late John McPherson (Ban),
leaving 5 sons and 3 daughters to mourn the death of a kind and good
mother. May her soul rest in peace.

DIED
At the South River, on the 5th inst., in the 83rd year of her age,
Janet, widow of the late John Boyd and mother of the publisher of
this paper. She was a kind, considerate, patient and Christian
woman; and reared a family of two sons and eight daughters, seven of
whom survive to deplore their loss and revere her memory.
Fortified by the last rites of the Church, she peacefully passed away
from this life in the full (?) hope of enjoying everlasting bliss in
the world beyond the grave. May her soul rest in peace.

Roderick Fraser (John's son), aged
37 years, leaving a disc-----(illegible) young wife, fond parents,
brothers and sisters and numerous friends and relatives, to whom he was
much endeared for his many excellent qualities. May his soul rest
in peace.

late Angus
Grant, in the 71st year of her age. She was mother of ten
children, grandmother of thirty-nine and great grandmother of eleven
children. As she lived piously she died peacefully, fortified by
the last rites of the Church. R.I.P.

At Ashdale, on the 27th ult., in the 33rd year of her age,
Margaret, the youngest daughter of
the late William
Chisholm of
that place. The deceased was a model of patience and resignation
in the whole course of her lingering illness; and thus offering
cheerfully the sacrifice of her life to God, and fortified by the last
sacraments of the Church, she calmly passed away. May her soul
rest in peace.

C. J. MacLoughlin, aged 40 years, son of the late Matthew
McLoughlin and Ann McInnis. R.I.P.
At Guysboro, on 14th inst., aged 56 years, Anastasia, beloved wife of Thomas Condon, Esq. Mrs. Condon was a
fervent Catholic and a truly Christian mother. She leaves an
affectionate husband and eight grown children, all showing unmistakable
proofs of perpetuating those noble virtues which are imbibed only from
a mother in whose heart was the law of God (Halifax papers please copy.)
At McDonald's Station, Penna., on the 5th inst., fortified by the
rites of the Church, Ellen,
aged 44 years, wife of John McDougall
formerly of Cape George, and daughter of Mrs. Sullivan, Antigonish. May her
soul rest in peace.
