This
indenture made this eighteenth day of June in the year of your Lord one
thousand and eight hundred and thirty between Martin McDonald of
Knoydart in the upper district of the County of Sydney in the Province
of Nova Scotia farmer of the one part and Donald McDonald and John
McDonald Junior both of Knoydart aforesaid Yeoman of the other part
Witnesseth(?) that the said Martin McDonald for and in consideration of
the Sum of Forty Pounds of lawful money of the province of Nova Scotia
aforesaid to him in hand by the said John McDonald Junior and Donald
McDonald well and truly paid at or before the ending and delivery of
these presents the receipt where of is here by acknowledged. Hath
granted bargained sold assigned enforffed (?) released and confirmed
and by these presents Doth grant bargain sell assign enfeoff(?) and
confirm unto the said Donald McDonald and John McDonald Junior all that
piece parcel on lot of land situate lying and being in Knoydart
aforesaid in the Upper District of the County of Sydney aforesaid being
abutted and bounded as follows vizt(?) beginning at the shore of the
Gulf of St Lawrence aforesaid on the division line between the
aforesaid lot of land and lands owned by Donald MacDonald (Breck) and
running then along the said division line until it come to a brook
commonly called the Mill Brook and running thence along the northern
margin of the said Brook until it come to the Eastern side line owned
by Donald MacDonald tailor thence along the said Eastern side line of
Division line of the said Donald MacDonald tailors land to the Gulf
Shore and running along the shore of the said Gulf to the place of
beginning and containing in the whole Two Hundred
and fifty Acres more or less
being bounded Northernly by the shore of the Gulf of St Lawrence
aforesaidEastwardly by lands in the property of Donald McDonald Breck
on the South or near by the aforesaid Mill Brook and by land belonging
to or in the occupation of Angus MacDonald and westwardly by lands
ownethy(?) Donald McDonald tailor, with all and singular the houses,
out houses barns stable buildings wags(?), waters. water counter(?),
easements commodities hereditaments and appurtenance there of or
thoseciants(?) belongings or in any wise appertaining with the
eversion(?) and sovsians(?), somainder(?) and acmainden(?) sents(?)
issue and profits therefore and all the estate right interested title
claims property and demand of him the said Martin McDonald.
To have and To Hold the above granter(?) promises with the
appurtenances(?) unto the said Donald McDonald and John McDonald Junior
their heirs and assigns and to their own proper use benefit and behoof
forever, and the said Martin McDonald for himself his heirs executors
and administrators doth covenant(?) promise and agree with the said
Donald McDonald anf John McDonald Junior their heirs executors
administrators and assigns in manner and form following that is to say
that he the said Martin McDonald is and now stands signed of a good
sure perfect and indeseasable estate of inheritance in see(?) simple of
in and to the lands and premises herein before granted without any
condition, limitation or power of revocation whatsoever: and what he
the said Martin McDonald hath good sight full power and lawful and
absolute authority to grant bargain sell and convey the same with the
appurtenances unto the said Donald McDonald and John McDonald Junior
their heirs and assign as they herein before granted bargained sold
assigned and conveyed or mentioned or intended so to be that they the
said Donald McDonald and John McDonald Junior their heirs and assign
may from time to time and at all times forever Live after peaceably and
quietly enter into have hold occupy and enjoy the above granted
promises with the appurtenances without the lawful like(?) trouble
hinderance molestation interruption or denial of him the said Martin
McDonald his heirs executors or administrators or of any person or
persons claiming or to claim by from or under him them or any or either
of these and further that he the said Martin McDonald his heirs
executors and administrators the above granted promises and every part
and parcel there of with the appurtenances unto the said Donald
McDonald and John McDonald Junior their heirs and assigns against the
lawful claims and demands of all and every person or persons whomsoever
shall and will be these presents to warrant and forever defend.
In witness where of the parties to these presents have here onto their
lands and seals subscribed and set the day and year penned(?) above
written

the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture from the there in named
Donald Macdonald and John Macdonald Junior the Sum forty Pounds lawful
money of the Province of Nova Scotia being the full consideration money
therein specified to be paid by them to me
