This area provides many of the finding aids, guides, and research tools that can prepare you for a visit to one of our facilities or for requesting records from NARA.

Maine GenWeb - The state of Maine GenWeb Project a great source for genealogical data for those researching relatives from the Atlantic Provinces.

Maine State Archives Web - The Archives is responsible for maintaining Maine State government's official records having continuing value. It also performs a records management function for the State government and schedules local government records.
