Born in Surettes Island,  Yarmouth County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Arsene (Surette) Muise. She was a member of St. Ambrose Cathedral  Parish Church, Yarmouth. She is survived by her husband, Alphie (the barber); five daughters, Bernice (Mrs. William  Doucette), Stoneham, Mass.; Mabel, Pauline, both at home; Lorraine Davis, Yarmouth; Marie (Mrs. Roger Thurston), Sanford,  Yarmouth County; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Marie; an infant son. The body  is in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and Thursday, where prayers will be 8 p.m. Thursday  evening. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Ambrose Cathedral, Rev. Clarence Thibeau officiating. Burial will be in Our  Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. Family flowers only. Born in Kemptown, Colchester Co., she was a daughter of the late Murdoch and Catherine  (Cameron) MacLean. Born in  Amherst, she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Noel) Arsenault. She resided in Kentville for most of her life  where she and her husband Louis owned and operated PeeWee's Taxi for several years. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion  Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 6, Kentville. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. LeBLANC, Allain O. - 78, passed away after a lenghty illness in Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on November 17, 1996. He  was a retired employee of Air Canada in Halifax. He was born in Belliveau Village, Memramcook, on February 11, 1918, and was  the son of the late Andre O. LeBlanc and Salome Bourque. He had been living in Belliveau Village for the past several years.  He is survived by his wife, Elmire (Belliveau) LeBlanc; daughters, Claudette (James) Spinks, Hoover, Ala.; Pauline LeBlanc,  Belliveau Village; Paulette (Guy) Leger, Cocagne; sons, Romeo (Susan) LeBlanc, Southington, Conn.; Bernard (Juliette)  LeBlanc, Calgary, Alta.; sisters, Obeline (late Louis) Gaudet, Dorice (late George) Sharon, both of Somers, Conn.; Andrea  (Armand) Gaudet, Waltham, Mass.; brother, Normand LeBlanc, Belliveau Village. He also leaves nine grandchildren and two  great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant son, Oscar; sisters, Laura, Irene, Carmelita, Aurise, Corinne; brothers,  Irois, Antoine, Alphe, Emery, Arsene. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of NotreDame de  l'Annonciation Parish, Pre-d'en-Haut and was also a member of Club D'Age D'Or, Pre-d'enHaut. The remains will be resting at  Dupuis' Funeral Home, Memramcook, with visiting hours on Wednesday, November 20, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. and again on Thursday,  November 21, from 2-6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, at 7 p.m. at Norte-Dame de Annonciation  Church, Pre-d'en-Haut. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Pre-d'en-Haut. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung  Association or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

LeBLANC, Allan Gerard - 37, Phalen's Road, Glace Bay, now rests peacefully after losing his year-long struggle with cancer.  With courage and dignity, Allan died in the arms of his loving wife and was surrounded by family members. Allan was employed  with Cape Breton Cable since 1988, and an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1852.  He was also a small engine repair mechanic. He was also a member of Holy Family Parish and active on the Parish Council. He  was a devoted husband to his wife Michele for eleven years and a loving, caring father to his son Jordan Allan, and daughter,  Avery Lauren. Allan will join his late father Leonard in heaven, but is survived by his mother, Marie ( T.C. Lever);  brothers, Leon (Karen), Halifax; Glenn, Paul, both of Glace Bay; sisters, Ann Marlene (LeBel), Charmaine Hiscock (Henry),  Glace Bay; Madonna Dwyer (Bob), Sydney; father and mother in-law, Danny and Nema McInnis, Glace Bay; brother-in-laws, Shaun,  Ottawa; Craig, Glace Bay; Trevor (Rose), Greenwood. LeBLANC, Andrew James "Andrew Barb" - 82, Alder Point, died December 11, 1999, at home. Born October 3, 1917, he was a son of  the late Alex and Mary LeBlanc. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Alder Point. He spent his entire life in Alder  Point. He was an avid wrestler and talented mechanic. In his later years, he spent many hours watching, through his kitchen  window, the boats and traffic passing the house in Alder Point. LeBLANC, Andrew John - Suddenly on Thursday, February 4, 1999, in Hamilton General Hospital. Andrew LeBlanc, Burford, Ont.,  in his 32nd year. Loving husband of Sheila and dear father of Kyle, Jennifer, Jacob and Nicholas, all of Burford. Dear son of  Violet LeBlanc and the late Jerry LeBlanc, Nova Scotia. Dear brother of Junior, David, Mike and wife Janet, Brenda and Susan,  all of Nova Scotia. She and her husband owned and  operated LeBlanc Grocery in Amherst and later owned and operated Kelly's Ambulance and Taxi Service for over 20 years.  Following retirement in 1982, she enjoyed driving close friends and relatives to various appointments near and far. She  enjoyed spending time with family and playing cards. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Church, Amherst. LeBLANC, Annette Marie - 54, Lower West Pubnico, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2006, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Born in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Jules Anselme LeBlanc and Celeste Josephine (d'Eon) LeBlanc. Annette was a former Registered Nurse, a Katimavic Group Leader, the Animatrice Jeunesse Régionale for the FANE in Tusket. She then received her Master's in Animation Sociale from the Sorbonne, Paris, France. She was the Animatrice Jeunesse Provinciale in Halifax, Animatrice at the FJCF (Fédération des Jeunes Canadiens Français), Ottawa. She was also Directrice du Collège de l'Acadie, Tusket, and did genealogical research at the West Pubnico Historical Museum. Since her return to Yarmouth County she had been helping friends of Bill in various support groups and one of her biggest regrets was not being able to do more during her illness. She is survived by brothers, Jean-Paul (Danielle Goodwin), Pubnico Head; Clarence (Sarah Dee), Moncton; sisters, Lorna (Hugh) d'Entremont, Lower West Pubnico; Rachel (Joseph Jacquard), Eel Brook, and Lorette (Stéphane Pilon), Montreal. Cremation has taken place. Remains are resting in West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico, with visitation from 9-10 a.m. today. Funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. today in Saint Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Middle West Pubnico with Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Annette battled cancer for the past two years and fought to live fully to the very end, even as a palliative care patient. (2)LeBLANC, Cecil - 89, Dartmouth, died in Dartmouth General Hospital on Monday, September 25, 2006. Born in Joggins, he was a son of the late Charles and Ella (Burke) LeBlanc. Cecil worked as a coal miner from 1939, until joining the Canadian Army, serving overseas until 1945. Following the war, he attended St. F.X. and Nova Scotia Technical College, graduating as an electrical engineer in 1950. He was employed with Northern Electric, Montreal from 1950 to 1952, and then worked with MT & T from 1952 until his retirement in 1982. He attended St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, was president of the Men's Society and head of the Scouting organization. He was a former president of the Woodlawn Athletic Association and coach of Little League Baseball. He was a veteran of the Second World  War, serving with the Halifax Rifles and a member of North Nova Memory Club and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 10, where he  was a member of the dart team. LeBLANC, Deanne Michelle - 32, Dartmouth, died May 1, 1999, in the VG Site, QEII, after a courageous, 3 1/2 year battle with  cancer (melanoma). Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Paul and Teresa (Hughes) LeBlanc. In her earlier years, Deanne  resided in Sydney with her family. She graduated in 1985 from Prince Andrew High School and in 1989 from Dalhousie University  with a BA in history. She was employed in the hospitality industry at Rocco's Italian Restaurant, Dartmouth. She was very  active with the Living with Cancer Support Group. Surviving are brothers, Bruce and Richard, Dartmouth; Greg, Montreal;  David, Halifax; niece, Hannah. She was predeceased by a brother in infancy. LeBLANC, Dorothy Hazel - 86, Halifax, died October 25, 1999, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in East Chester, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Minnie (Acker) Rafuse. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by son, David, Halifax; daughter, Marilyn Perrier, Marie Boudreau, Joyce Keigan, Halifax; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; son, Louie John; 11 brothers and sisters. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Funeral 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

LEBLANC (ARCHDEACON), Dorothy Loretta - 77, Bedford, died March 11, 1994, at home. Born in Bridgetown, Annapolis County, she  was a daughter of the late Herbert F. and Edna (Doucette) Ramey. She received her education at Sacred Heart Convent, Meteghan  and Mount St. Vincent in Halifax. In her earlier years, she was active in the Children of Mary and the Nova Scotia Liberal  Association. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Brian Gillis), Bedford; Joan (Mrs. James Landsky), Jean  Archdeacon, both of Vancouver, B.C.; sister, Hilda Butler, Moncton, N.B.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She  was predeceased by her first husband, James Stephen Archdeacon; second husband, Alphonse J. LeBlanc; brother, John; two  sisters, Helen, Jean. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Chester. A memorial service will  be 7 p.m. Monday in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Bedford, Rev. DeLouchry officiating. Burial will be at a later date  in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations may be made to the Halifax Infirmary Palliative Care Unit or any charity.

LeBLANC, Dorothy Mildred - 81, Wilmot, died December 13, 1998, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Kingsport,  Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Israel and Bertha (Baltzer) Fritz. Surviving are her husband, Joseph (Emery),  Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown; daughter, Elaine (Mrs. Gordon Morse), New Minas; brother, Lloyd, Quinsy, Mass.;  grandchildren, Richard, Diane, David; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant daughter; sisters, Addie  and Helen. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in Warren T. Roop  Funeral Home, Middleton, Richard Morse officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to IWK Grace  Foundation.
