Surviving are her husband, Raymond; daughter, Linda Forgeron, West Arichat; sons, Roy, Truro; George, Arichat; Eddie, Dartmouth; sisters, Ida Meunier, West Arichat; Mrs. Hattie Marchand, Mulgrave; brother, Arthur, West Arichat; nine grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren. FORGERON, Claire Sylvia - 60, West Arichat, passed away April 26, 2006, in Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston. Born in West Arichat, she was a daughter of the late Hubert George and Margaret Rose (Doiron) Forgeron. She was the president of the Immaculate Conception C.W.L. in West Arichat and also taught religion to the children of the parish. She was on the board of directors of St. Anne's Community and Nursing Care Centre, Arichat. She was a member of the Seafarers International Union of Canada and was a Canadian Chief Cook on the Lake Boats. Sylvia was a very active volunteer in the community. She is survived by her sister, Marian Smith (Roger), Pictou; brothers, John (Lyla), Calgary; Curtis, Halifax; Edwin (Judy), Russell (Donna), both of West Arichat; Basil, Eastern Passage; Blair (Joyce), Arichat; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Friday, April 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, West Arichat, with Rev. FORGERON, David Richard - 79, Main A Dieu, Cape Breton, died October 30, 1992, in Sydney City Hospital. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late David Richard and Mary (Butler) Forgeron. He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Lahey; three daughters, Joan McGrath, Chicago, Ill.; Margaret Geraghty, Ontario; Mary Timoshyk, Halifax; seven sons, Fabian, Comox, B.C.; Alophonsus, Sydney; Ron, Winnipeg; Fulton, Dennis, both of Halifax; Stephen, Sydney; Seymour, Main A Dieu. The body is in the family residence, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m today. Visiting will also be 1-9 p.m. Sunday in Immaculate Conception Church, Main A Dieu, where funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Rev. FORGERON, Deborah Ann - 45, Eastern Passage, passed away Thursday, July 30, 1998, in the VG Site, QEII, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Gladys (Patterson) Pettipas, Woodside, and the late Austen Pettipas. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Women's League and regularly volunteered at Hope Cottage. She loved to travel and enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques. She was employed at the Department Housing and Municipal Affairs for 25 years and looked forward to retirement. During her short life she brought much happiness and encouragement to everyone. She will be sadly missed but her kind, caring and generous spirit will never be forgotten. She is survived by her husband, Basil; daughter, Angela, Eastern Passage; sister, Frances (Mrs. Eric Baylis), Woodside; brothers, Cyril (Bobby) Pettipas, Dartmouth; Harry Pettipas, Langley, B.C.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by an infant sister. FORGERON, Eunice Ann - 83, Main-a-Dieu, Cape Breton Co, died December 18, 1994, at home. Born in Main-a-Dieu, she was a daughter of Antho- ny (Tone) McDougall and Rosalia Burke. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Maina-Dieu; a long-standing and devoted member of the CWL and was in her 64th year as organist, a position she graciously assumed at the age of 19 when Rev. Briand was pastor. Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte (Mrs. Keith Hall); sons, Ted, Roy, Sid, Bill, Sandy; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ambrose; daughter, Regina; son, Joe; grandson, Peter; sisters, Eileen, Molly, Margaret (Peg), Sally; brothers, Wallace, Bill. FORGERON, Gregory F. - 61, passed away June 7, 1999, at the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Thompson and Mary (Lahey) Forgeron. Greg was employed for 30 years with DND until his retirement in 1987. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed all sports. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Anna (Yeomans); brothers, Kenneth and Wayne, Halifax; brothers-in-law, Thomas and Basil Yeomans; sisters-in-law, Evelyn MacKenzie, Bernadette and June Yeomans; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Laurie Baker. He was predeceased by sisters, Louise and Bernadette. Cremation to take place. A private family memorial service will be held in the chapel of Snow's Funeral Home, 10 a.m. today, June 10, Bishop Hayes officiating. Family flowers only by request. She loved a good book and spending time with her grandchildren. FORGERON, Mark Kenneth - 23, Rowe Avenue, Halifax, died July 21, 1998, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Kenneth and Catherine (Cassy) (Greeley) Forgeron, and stepson of Danny Peters. He worked at Tim Hortons for six years as a baker, and at the time of his death, with Pier 21. He enjoyed his motorcycle and racing, and spending time with his friends and family. FORGERON, Rene Joseph - 85, Dartmouth, passed away August 9, 1998, in Oceanview Manor. Born in Port Royal, Richmond Co., he was a son of the late Jeffery and Annie Forgeron. He was a freight handler with CN Rail for 35 years before retiring, and was known for his great love of music and fiddle playing. Surviving are daughter, Marie Gillis and son-in-law Jim Gillis, Dartmouth; granddaughter, Michelle Alladin, Dartmouth; sister, Rena Bond, Halifax; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ursula Forgeron; brothers, Naroisse and Hycinth; sisters, Louise, Alice, Eva, Flora May and Elizabeth Jane. He was a 1993 B.Sc. graduate of Dalhousie University and was employed in the aqua culture industry on Vancouver Island. FORGERON, Capt. Wilfred Clifford - 91, Port Hawkesbury, formerly of West Arichat, died February 16, 1995, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in West Arichat, he was a son of the late Jeffrey and Flora (LeJune) Forgeron. He was a retired master mariner and an insurance agent. He went to sea at age 13 and had owned his own schooners. He served as a ship's pilot for Sydney and the Strait of Canso and served with the merchant marine during the Second World War. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury. He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus, Lawrence Kavanaugh Council, West Arichat.
