She  was a member of St. Peter's Church, Cheticamp; the senior citizens club, Cheticamp, and Royal Canadian Legion  Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 32. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are several  nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George; brothers, Anselm, Joseph, Den, Arthur,  Eustade, Denis; sisters, Virgine, Adee, Marie, Antoinette. Born in St. Joseph du Moine, he was a son of the late Thomas and Rose (Chiasson)  Desveaux. He was a member of Mount Carmel Parish. He worked for 25 years with Devco; was employed with Leo C.  Boudreau Hardware and drove taxi in New Waterford. He was a lifetime member of Cercle of Evangeline Club and a  member of the Pensioners Club. DESVEAUX, Marie Cecile - 55, Toronto, formerly of New Waterford, died March 21, 1993, in St. Michael's  Hospital, Toronto. Born in Friar's Head, Inverness County, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anne  (Aucoin) Desveaux. She lived most of her life in Toronto, working for many years with Planters Peanut Factory.  She is survived by a sister, Leona (Mrs. Bill MacDonald), Judique, Inverness County; brother, Gerard, Toronto.  She was predeceased by a brother, Gerald. The body is in St. Michael's Church, Margaree, visiting 2-4, 7-9  p.m. today, where funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Basil Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in  parish cemetery. School, Cheticamp for 25 years, and was principal for  nine years. He was past president of the Cheticamp Development Commission; active member in various committees  and provinical organizations. DEVEAU, Donald James "Donnie" - 53, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, October 23, 2006. Born March 4, 1953, in Yarmouth, he was a son of Catherine Glode and the late George Deveau. He was a lobster and scallop fisherman his working life. Surviving are sons, Randall, Donald Curtis (Shelly), both of Yarmouth; Scott (Rebecca), New Brunswick; daughter, Michelle, Yarmouth; sisters, Margaret Wry, Mary Deveau, Marjorie Smith, all of Yarmouth; grandson, Cameron, and granddaughter, Hannah; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brother, Joseph, and sister, Catherine Comeau. Visiting hours were Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m., both in H.M. He was  administrative director of La Societe Saint-Pierre; served on many community organizations and was employed as  manager of Cheticamp Fish Co-op until his death. DEVEAU, Jean Regis - 84, passed away in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Ont., on March 27, 2006. He was born  in Lake Doucette, a son of the late Augustin and Laura (Babin) Deveau. Reggie lived most of his adult life in  Toronto. Until recent years, he and his mother enjoyed driving to Nova Scotia in the summer to visit family  and friends. He is survived by brother, Neri (May), Nova Scotia; their devoted sisters, Antoinette Muise and  Bernadette (Jerry) Hayes, both of Toronto, Ont. Uncle Regis will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brother, Leo; brother-in-law, Walter; nephew, Roderick. DEVEAU, Noah - 77, Salmon River, Digby Co., died January 7, 1995, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born at  Salmon River, he was a son of the late Constant and Joanna (Galvin) Deveau. He was a veteran of the Second  World War having served in France, Holland and Germany in the 22 Regiment of the Canadian Army. He was a  member of Royal Canadian Legion, Clare branch 52. DEVEAU, Orey Jeanne - 91, Mavillette, died July 2, 2006, at home. Born in Concession, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Emily (Ward) LeBlanc. DEVEAU (Philpitt), Owen Lawrence - Passed away in the IWK Health Centre on April 28, 2006. He is survived by  his loving parents, Michael Deveaux and Lisa (Philpitt), and sister, Kalie, Dartmouth; grandparents, Deborah  Deveaux, Carl and Rosemary Philpitt; aunts, Jody and Laura; uncles, Scott and Steven; great-grandparents,  Harry and Rose Turner, and Lois Philpitt. Owen was predeceased by his grandfathers, Lawrence Deveau and Norman  Philpitt. Cremation has taken place. DEVEAU, Wilfred - 73, Clementsport, Annapolis Co., passed away April 15, 2006, following a tragic accident at  home. He was a son of the late Thomas and Adele Deveau. Wilfred was a chef, first working in Cornwallis,  Vietnam and New Brunswick. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Deveau (Peter Hurst), Deep Brook; Chantell  Deveau, Pembroke, Yarmouth Co.; son, Gary Deveau (Janice), Clementsport; sisters, Genevive Comeau, St.  Alphonse; Isabelle Eisnor, Middleton; Lucille Khetak, Wellington; Delores LeBlanc (Nelson), Salmon River; Rose  Jacquard, Yarmouth; Frances Upton (Doug), Yarmouth; brother, Lionel Deveau (June), Wellington; two  grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Wilfred was predeceased by his infant sister, Anna; brothers, Emile,  Roger, and Edward. There will be no visitation by request. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jane; two sons, Alonzo,  Glace Bay; David, Calgary; two daughters, Laraine (Mrs. Robert Albert Penney), Glace Bay; Denise (Mrs. Glenn  MacDonald), Grand Lake Road, Sydney Highway; four brothers, Joseph, Glace Bay; Aloysius, Bernie, Leo, all of  Ontario; two sisters, Beatrice Carlson, Glace Bay; Mary McNabb, Ontario; 12 grandchildren; two  greatgrandchildren.
