First Generation
1. James1 Sands was born in Reading, Berkshire, England 1621. He died March 13, 1694 in Block Island, Rhode Island. He married Sarah Walker 1645. Sarah died in New Shoreham, Block Island, Rhode Island.
James Sands and Sarah Walker had the following child:
2 i. Sarah Sands2 was born in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island 1651. She died 1726 in Cow Neck, Long Island, New York. She married Nataniel Niles. Nataniel was born in Braintree, Norfork County, Mass. August 16, 1642. He was the son of John Niles and Jane Reed. Nataniel died December 22, 1727 in Braintree, Norfork County, Mass., at 85 years of age. (See Nataniel Niles for the continuation of this line.)
