First Generation
1. John1 Freeman was born in Preston, New London County, Connecticut March 16, 1679. He died June 25, 1725 in Preston, New London County, Connecticut, at 46 years of age. He married Abigail Witter in Preston, New London County, Connecticut, February 5, 1705. Abigail was born in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut August 14, 1684.
John Freeman and Abigail Witter had the following child:
2 i. Abigail Freeman2 was born February 14, 1718. She married Joseph Stanton 1737. Joseph was born in Preston, Connecticut February 10, 1710. He was the son of John Stanton and Mary Starkweather. Joseph died October 1, 1798 in Albany County, New York, at 88 years of age. (See Joseph Stanton for the continuation of this line.)
