First Generation

 

1. Thomas1 Betts was born in West Peckham, Kent, England 1615. He died 1688 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married Mary Raymond in Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut, 1643. Mary died 1724 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Thomas Betts and Mary Raymond had the following child:

+ 2 i. James Betts2 was born 1663.

 

 

Second Generation

 

2. James2 Betts (Thomas1_) was born in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut 1663. He died July 6, 1753 in Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married Hannah Bouton in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut, 1699. Hannah was born in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut 1673. She was the daughter of John Bouton and Abigail Marvin. Hannah died August 23, 1748 in Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

James Betts and Hannah Bouton had the following child:

+ 3 i. Benjamin Betts3 was born 1710.

 

 

Third Generation

 

3. Benjamin3 Betts (James2, Thomas1_) was born 1710. He died 1770 in Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married Rebecca Taylor in Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut, 1729. Rebecca was born in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut 1705. She was the daughter of John Taylor and Mary Bushnell. Rebecca died 1805 in Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Benjamin Betts and Rebecca Taylor had the following child:

+ 4 i. David Betts4 was born 1730.

 

 

Fourth Generation

 

4. David4 Betts (Benjamin3, James2, Thomas1_) was born in Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut 1730. He died in Sheffield, Berhshire County, Massachusetts.

David Betts had the following child:

5 i. Mary Betts5 was born in Wilton, Fairfield County, Connecticut October 16, 1756. She died February 10, 1840 in Midddlefield, Otsego County, New York, at 83 years of age. Mary married William Saxton. William was born in Sheffield, Berhshire County, Massachusetts December 25, 1755. He was the son of James Saxton and Sarah Noble. William died March 12, 1832 in Midddlefield, Otsego County, New York, at 76 years of age. (See William Saxton for the continuation of this line.)
