(Karen) Hilton; daughter-in-law, Colleen of Brockport; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; her brother, Raymond MacBride, Webster; her mother-in-law, Elsa Edwards and sister-in-law, Julie Noble; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. No prior calling. A memorial service will be held on Wed. at 2 PM at the First Babtist Church of Brockport. Spring interment at Garland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends may contibute to the First Babtist Church of Brockport. Ref. Fowler Funeral Home.

"ALBION: October 19, 2002, age 91. Predeceased by her husband, Franklin B. Cropsey (local attorney, District Attorney, Justice of the Peace, and Judge Advocate General's Department during WWII including War Crimes Trials following the war.); brothers and sisters, Conrad J. MacGregor of Islip, Lillian M. Griffith of Rochester, Mabel E. Cladel of Ithaca, Laura M. MacGregor of NY City, and Frances M. Owen of Cortland. Survived by daughter, Virginia C. (Charles) Mortimer of Mansfield, TX; son, Conrad F. (Margaret) Cropsey of Albion; grandson, Stephen C. F. (Kathryn) Mortimer of Brookline, MA; sister-in-law, Caroline C. (Henry) Brown, formerly of Spencerport; many dear nieces and nephews. Helen was born April 12, 1911 in Johnson City, NY, daughter of Rob Roy and Lillian Edith Klee McGregor. High School valedictorian; cum laude, Albany State Teacher's College; Masters, Cornell University. During her life: Assistant Supervising Principal, Sea Cliff, Long Island; organized and for several years served as Principal George H. Hichols School, Endicott, NY; Board of Trustees First Presbyterian Curch of Albion; started and was president of Women's Association, First Presbyterian; reactivated and was president of Albion Parent-Teachers Association; president Orleans County Women's Republican Club. The motto she lived by: ""it is nice to be needed and a blessing to be able to help, if only in some small way."" Funeral arrangements made by Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion, NY. At her request, no calling hours will be observed. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Albion, Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at 2:00pm. She will be buried at Mount Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, she requested a contribution to the First Presbyterian Church of Albion, Central Orleans Volunteers Ambulance (COVA), or to a charity of one's choice. "

She was an alumni of The University of Rochester School of Nursing, and a retiree from The Genrsee Hospital.
Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Saturday (October 18) at 10:30 at St. Borromeo Church. Private interment was in White Haven Memorial Park.
