No. 3: Jan. 4, 1816. On Monday last, in this town, of an apoplectic fit, Mr. Moses M. Canfield, son of Mr. Jacob Canfield, aged 23 years.

No. 4, Jan. 11, 1816.  Very suddenly, near this town, on Saturday last, Mr. Gilbert Allen, who had been for nearly forty years, a Deacon of the Presbyterian Church in this town, aged 80 years.
    Yesterday morning, also very suddenly, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen, relict of Mr. Gilbert Allen, dec. aged 41 years. Also very suddenly, near this town, on Monday last, Mr. Demas Ford aged 70 years.
    On Tuesday last, near Morris Plains, of the Consumption, Mr. Fraser Stevens, aged 41 years.

No. 5, Jan. 18, 1816.  On Tuesday last, in this town, a Child of Mr. Lewis Hayden, aged 3 years.

No. 7, Feb. 1, 1816.  At Trenton, on the 19th ult. Rev. James F. Armstrong, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in that city, aged 66 years.
    In this town, on Wednesday of last week, of the Pleurisy, Mr. Nathaniel Sturges, in the 74th year of his age.
    At Morris Plains, on Monday last, of the Typhus Fever, Mrs. Chloe Pierson, wife of Mr. Timoth Pierson, in the 40th year of her age.

No. 9, Feb. 15, 1816.  At Hanover, on Saturday last. Miss Susan Fairchild daughter of Abraham Fairchild, Esq.
    Last Friday, at Parsippany, Dr. Cyrus Hartwell, practioner at that place.

No. 10, Feb. 22, 1816.  At Morris Plains, on Wednesday of last week, of the consumption, Mrs. Charity Talmage, wife of Mr. Dayton Talmage, in the 52d year of her age.
    Lately, in Connecticut, Hon. William Hillhouse, aged 83.

No. 11, Feb. 29, 1816.  In this town, on Thursday last, of a lingering illness, Mrs. Mary A. Mills, wife of Capt. Lewis Mills, in the 33d year of her age.
    At Caldwell, on the 17th inst. Mr. Thomas Gould, in the 99th year of his age.  He left a numerous train of relatives to lament his death, being the progenitor of 207 persons � 168 of which are now living.  Twenty are descendants of the fifth generation. (Newark Centinel).

No. 12, March 7, 1816.  Near this town. On Wednesday of last week, of the Typhus Fever, Mr. Enos W. Pierson, in the 26th year of his age.
    Near Chatham, in this County, on the 28th ult. of the Pleurisy, Mr. Caleb Blanchard.
    In New York, on the 27th ult. R. Rev. Benjamin Moore, D.D. Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the State of New York, aged 68 years.

No. 13, March 14, 1816.  In this town, on Saturday evening last, of the Consumption, Miss Caroline Ross, daughter of Mr. Jonathan Ross, aged 19 years.

No. 14, March 21, 1816.  At Morris Plains, on Saturday last, of the consumption, Mrs. Eunice Godden, wife of Joseph Godden, Aet. 49.
    Near this town, on Sunday last, of the Dropsy, Mr. Jaber Kitchell, Aet. 31.
    In this town, on Sunday evening last, of a lingering Consumption which she bore with Christian fortitude and resignation, Mrs. Charlotte King wife of Mr. Henry King, Aet. 49.

No. 15, March 28, 1816.  At Little Town, on Saturday last, the widow  Hannah Bigelow, aged 72 years.
    At Harrisonville, on Monday last, a Child of Mr. Jonathan Hathaway.
    Yesterday morning, near this town, Martha Goble, daughter of Mr. Jared Goble, aged 12 years.

No. 16, April 4, 1816.  At Flemington, on the 28th ult. George Maxwell, Esq. formerly member of Congress from this state.

No. 18, April 18, 1816.  At New Vernon, on Tuesday of last week, of the dropsey, Mrs. Martha Miller, wife of Mr. Ichabod Miller, aged 55 years.

No. 19, April 25, 1816.  Near this town, on Saturday last of the Dropsey, Deacon Joseph Prudden, in 87th year of his age.

No. 19 is the last number of THE MEMORANDUM that has been found.  It probably stopped with No. 20, on May 2, 1816, because the MORRIS TOWN HERALD resumed publication on May 9, 1816.
