HENRY CONNET

HENRY CONNET died July 10th, 1761, aged 63 years. The widow Connet, mother of Deacon William Connet, died 31st Aug., 1771; they had children. (2d Generation.)

1. William Connet lived opposite the Franklin Mill, and was a deacon and elder in the Presbyterian church, in New Providence. He married, 18th December, 1766 [by Rev. Jonathan Elmer; Presbyterian Church at New Providence, NJ GMNJ Vol 19 No 1 January 1944], Sarah Rogers, and 2d, Mary, the widow of Aaron Decamp, 24th May, 1790 [by Rev. Jonathan Elmer; Presbyterian Church at New Providence, NJ GMNJ Vol 19 No 1 January 1944].

2. John Connet married, 13th December, 1767 [by Rev. Jonathan Elmer; Presbyterian Church at New Providence, NJ GMNJ Vol 19 No 1 January 1944], Rachel Allen,

3. Daniel Connet married, 26th November, 1769 [by Rev. Jonathan Elmer; Presbyterian Church at New Providence, NJ GMNJ Vol 19 No 1 January 1944], Eleanor Woodruff.

4. Hannah Connet, who died, 14th May, 1764, unmarried.

DEACON WILLIAM CONNET, and Sarah Rogers, had children; (3rd Generation.)

1. William Connet, Jun., who married, 25th April, 1791 [by Rev. Jonathan Elmer; Presbyterian Church at New Providence, NJ GMNJ Vol 19 No 1 January 1944], Charity Bowers.

2. Jemima Connet, baptized 21st April, 1771; married, 10th April, 1793 [by Rev. Jonathan Elmer; Presbyterian Church at New Providence, NJ GMNJ Vol 19 No 1 January 1944], Daniel Bowers.

3. Sally Connet married, 14th November, 1793 [by Rev. Jonathan Elmer; Presbyterian Church at New Providence, NJ GMNJ Vol 19 No 1 January 1944], Phinehas Bowers,

4. Henry Connet married, and lived at Waterstreet, near Mendham, and had children: (4th Generation.)

1. Lockey, who married Mr. Lindley, and went to Mount Auburn, Illinois.

2. Mary married Charles Marsh; lived at Morristown.

3. Sarah.

4. William, who went to Ohio, and died there.

5. Ira, who married Phebe Runnels, and had children:
