A Glimpse of Life in Blawnox, Pennsylvania
During Its First Four Decades as an Independent Borough
When I did the interviews that are contained in my "Montrose Hill" O'Hara Twp. presentation,
I also took advantage of access to three men that had grown up in Blawnox and interviewed them as well.
I have edited those those interviews, added my own recollections and
combined them with a complete transcription of the 1930 and 1940 US Censuses of the borough
(including analysis of the records) into this writing. I hope you enjoy it!
