Hunterdon County Query

Surname: HOWE (HOWEY)
I am searching for information on John HOWE/HOWEY who was living in Kingwood, Hunterdon County in 1759. The information I have on him is from a NJ Supreme Court Document which shows that he is being sued for a debt to Samuel JOHNSON. The original Bill of Obligation was apparently signed at Newton, Sussex County, but lists John HOWE/HOWEY as of Kingwood, Hunterdon County. Any help would be appreciated.
