Hunterdon County Query

Surname: MCCABE

Edward McCabe of Dublin Ireland, married Lydia Winter of Staten Island. They settled in New Jersey. Their son Matthew McCabe married Mary Conklin, of North Castle, Westchester, NY. Mathew and Mary would have 7 children who were born in Peekskill, NY. One of there children was Stephen McCabe.

He would move to Bethlehem, Hunterdon, New Jersey with his wife Mary Farrar Smith.

Children are:
   Samuel McCabe was born 26 Oct 1777 in Bethlehem. Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
   Sarah McCabe was born 1 Dec 1779 in Bethlehem, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
   Mathew McCabe was born 26 Mar 1781 in Bethlehem, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
   Cynthia McCabe was born 29 Apr 1785 in Bethlehem, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
   Benjamin McCabe was born 14 Oct 1786 in Bethlehem, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

The above family later moved to Greene County New York. Edward and Lydia McCabe would probably have other ancestors in New Jersey. Possible other sons and daughters.
