Hunterdon County Query

Surname: SMITH (SCHMIDT)
Researching early Smith/Schmidt line in Hunterdon/Warren Co. area. Interested in anyone going by the name "Harbert Smith" or "Herbert Smith" My line is Harbert Smith 1766-1847 married to Hannah (Ann) Huff 1777-1860. Bible records claimed they died in Alexandria Township. Located baptism record for a daughter in Warren Co. Church also has a Harbert Smith buried there who died in 1799, age 94. Web site seem to indicate another Harbert Smith b. abt 1742 married to Charity Reichlem d. 1813 are his parents. Several people have tried to connect him as a grandson of Mathias Schmidt, but the dates do not match up too well.
