Hunterdon County Query

Surname: THATCHER
I am looking for the parents of my ancestor Bartholomew Thatcher. His father was also named Bartholomew and my only information is that he was born in New Jersey between July 27th and July 25 1804-05. I found him in the census records of 1860 in Armaugh Township Mifflin County, PA he was 55 years old and married to Eleanor Stewart. I located him in the 1850 Census in the same town, same state 45 years old and again in the 1840 census at 35. Going backwards ( and here is where I need help) I think I have located him living at home in the 1830 Census. I have found two Thatchers in the 1830 Hunterdon Census that could fit. My Bartholomew would be about 25 years old. Amos Thatcher (Amwell, Hunterdon) has listed a young man between the ages of 20-30 along with a man's (father?) age of between 50 to 60, there are other ages listed as well as a woman (mother?) in the 50 to 60 year age range. Bartholomew Thatcher (Kingwood, Hunterdon) has listed one young man between 20-30 and and two older men (father?) between 40 and 50. There is also a woman (mother?) in the 40-50 age range. Other children's ages are listed as well. If anyone knows if one of these families had a son by the name of Bartholomew who was born about 1804/1805, and would have been around 25 in the 1830 census, I have made a connection.
