Hunterdon County Query

Surname: ALLEN/FIRMAN (FURMAN)/WYCKOFF
Seeking information on the ALLEN Family of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. My ancestor John Allen was said to have been born in Hunterdon County in 1760, son of Moses Allen born c1734-35. Currently, I've found a source that reports Moses parents as Francis Allen and Mary Loockermans Hindman. This source reports Moses died in 1805. There was no support for this information, other than it was from an old family relative. Moses apparently had two siblings, Mary Allen who married 1759 Rev John Rosse and apparently they went to Snow Hill, MD and a brother William but no information. Moses had at least two children: Susannah Allen born c1754-1768 m. Jacob Wyckoff abt 1784 John Allen born 1760 Hunterdon County, NJ m. Rachel Wykoff [or Firman?] John served in the Revolutionary War in Hunterdon County, NJ. DAR records indicate that his wife was Rachel Wyckoff, but I've found no support or information on her line. I feel that since John's sister married a Wyckoff there may have been some confusion somewhere along the line. John and Rachel named a son Firman and I thought it was possible that Rachel's maiden name could have been Firman or Furman. Any information on the Allen family, Wyckoff family or Firman family would be greatly appreciated.
