SNOOK
Johan Villem SNOOK was naturalized in the state of New Jersey in 1730, immigrating from Germany, date unknown. His wife may have been Catherine Volbert (Baptisms in the New York Dutch Church, 1901, Vol. 1) William died in 1760 leaving a will which named all his children. His wife Catharine died 1769, also leaving a will. Their children:
1. John Snook b. abt 1723, d. before 1794, Hunterdon County. Married Elise Rockerfeller by whom he had 4 children. Second wife was Elizabeth Marts, 14 Dec 1779.
2. Catherine Snook b. June 14, 1724, m. Rudolf Stineman.
3. William Snook b. abt 1725, m. Elizabeth Bellis, d. 1793, bur. Larrison's Corner Cemetery, Amwell Twp.
4. Elizabeth Snook b. abt 1727, m. William Volbart
5. Christian Snook b. abt 1730 m. Jacob Ketcham
6. Ann Snook b. abt 1733 m. Henry Wambach
7. Mary Snook b. abt 1737 m. Benjamon Abott
8. Philip Snook b. abt 1745 m. Margaret Heavenor, d. 1816, Scioto County, Ohio. This is my ancestor and I have more information.
9. George Snook b. abt 1747, m. Anna Corwin.
